Mahesh Babu has just revealed that he is huge of fan of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Kaththi. One of the biggest stars of Tollywood and recently voted the most desirable man of India, Mahesh Babu spoke at a fundraiser event Memu Saitham which was organised for the victims of the recent cyclone in Andhra Pradesh.
Mahesh Babu said he really liked Kaththi but clarified that he is not remaking the film stating "I really liked 'Kaththi', and I think it has to be Vijay's best film in recent times. But I'm not doing its remake. I usually prefer not to work in remakes."

Ilayathalapathy's #Vijay58 with Director Chimbudevan is making all the right noises, The film is already hot in the market. Now actor Sudeep in a recent interview revealed few secrets on his role "If I say my role is very much parallel and equal to that of Vijay's role, it would be crap. It is not equal or parallel to his role. I play a villain and I wouldn't hesitate to say that we are all part of Vijay's film. Srideviji is the queen of my kingdom and I play her thalapathy. She is a good queen while I'm an evil one. But Chimbudevan has presented my role in a unique way. If it was just a villain, he wouldn't have called me. Of course, there is something more to all this, which I cannot reveal. I will be sporting a new look... with long hair and blue eyes."
Sudeep who is the highest paid actor in Sandalwood had this say on working with Ilayathalapathy "I met Vijay long back during the shoot of his film, Madurey. I spoke to him for two minutes and he communicated through smiles and nods of the head. Then, two years ago, I met him at Prabhu Dheva's party. This time, he had seen one of my Kannada films, and so there was a little more expression in his face. By then, I had decided that this personality was not going to talk anything and I was under the impression that he will continue to communicate through smiles (laughs). But now, he surprised me by chatting with me. He made me feel comfortable on the set and the next day, he invited me home for dinner. In fact, I even joked to him that it's only now that I'm getting a clear idea on his voice. What touched me was, he sent the car away and drove me back to the hotel. We spoke about cars, CCL, films, etc. Considering his stature, he's extremely sweet and humble."

This means that for the first time in 40 year film career of Superstar, A film is finally releasing on his birthday. Lingaa is expected to release in over 5000 screens in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The film television rights have been bagged by Jaya TV for 32 crores which is yet another record set by Superstar.

Director Vasanthabalan who hugely impressed in Angadi Theru is ready with another classic Kaaviya Thalaivan which is slated for release this friday. The film is about the lives of two theatre artistes played by Siddharth and Prithviraj and the competition that exists between them in a small drama troupe. In a recent interview Director Vasanthabalan revealed that he initially wanted Suriya and Vikram in the lead roles but later opted for Siddharth and Prithiviraj.
A.R.Rahman's soundtrack for the film was already rated 5 stars by most of the critics and will be a huge backbone for the film. "The reason we approached Rahman sir is because music drives the story in our film. We wanted someone who could promise us great music. Rahman sir spent nearly two years to give the kind of music, which plays a vital role in the story, Even for Rahman sir, this project was challenging as he hasn't worked on something like this before. He even gave us most of the songs even before we went on floors with the film, contrary to how he usually works on a project." said Vasanthabalan to IANS.

If sources are to be believed, Amy Jackson has apparently walked out Suriya's Masss and the reason being Nayanthara. There was a buzz last month that Amy Jackson walked out the Suriya starrer only to be later rubbished off as rumor. Now sources once again report that Pranitha Subhash has replaced Amy Jackson in Masss.
A source reported to Times of India that "Nayanthara felt very insecure when Shruti Haasan was finalised for the film. Somehow, she managed to have her replaced. When the crew got Amy Jackson on board, she got even more insecure as Amy is the current hot and happening heroine. Nayanthara once again played her dominating self and made Amy walk out of the film by herself. Now, she is ok with Pranitha on board for the film."

After a rather disappointing outing in Kochadaiyaan, Superstar is back with Lingaa to shatter the box office records. The duo of K.S Ravikumar and Superstar have delivered some of the biggest blockbusters in Muthu and Padayappa. Now the latest buzz is that Lingaa is well on its way to create a new record of the highest number of screens for any movie in South India.
Producer of the film Rockline Venkatesh also recently revealed that the film is purely script-driven, and not technology-oriented and Lingaa would remind the viewer of Rajni's movies of 90s.

Actress Trisha's engagement rumor has been the talk of town for quite sometime now, Now in a recent interview to Times of India the actress herself opened up on the rumor and had this to say
Rumour has it you are engaged to entrepreneur and producer Varun Manian. Is it true?
"No, I am not engaged. There is no reason for me to hide it. I cannot get engaged all of a sudden. I have a responsibility to inform my producers and to the people I work with. And most importantly, there is no need for me to secretly get engaged. There is nothing secretive about it. Engagement is a happy occasion and no girl will hide it if she is engaged. So, why will I?"
Trisha also clarified on the rumors of her dating and then breaking up with Rana Daggubati, "When I have not admitted to being in a relationship with someone, and if people say I am out of it, why should I comment on it now? It was insignificant at that time, and even more insignificant now to talk about it. It is as simple as that".
