Kareena now says Of course i know Surya !
11/04/2014
Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor who angered the Surya fans questioning Who is Surya has gone for damage control stating that she knows him but has never met him."It is a fact that I don't know him. I've never met him, but that doesn't mean I don't know who Suriya is. Of course I know him. He's a big star in Tamil cinema, in fact one of the biggest. I truly respect his standing in the Indian film industry,In fact, I'm doing the sequel to 'Singham', the film where he played the lead originally in Tamil cinema," said Kareena.
Kareena said she was upset because of reports that she was doing an item song in the Suriya-starrer 'Anjaan'."I had never met the film's director Linguswamy nor agreed to do any song or dance for his film. So how could he be quoted as saying that I was doing a song for his film," she asked.
Kareena concluded saying she would love to work with Surya whenever he does a Hindi film. “He is tremendously talented. It’d be a pleasure and an honour to work with him.”

Who is Surya ? - Kareena Kapoor in All new controversy !
A few days ago there was huge buzz going around that Kareena Kapoor might do an item number for Surya's Anjaan. The Bollywood beauty's reaction has however led to new controversy. Here is Kareena quote on Surya and acting in South from DNA
"I don't know where such baseless stories come from. I haven't signed any such film. I don't even know who Suriya and Linguswamy are. I've never seen them. I've zero interest in acting in non-Hindi films whether it is down South or in Hollywood."
"How can I emote in a language that I don't know? I was offered beautiful scripts by the late Rituparno Ghosh in Bengali. I never could bring myself to work with this brilliant filmmaker because of the language barrier, and now he is gone.I love the work being done in South Indian languages so in Marathi and Bengali. But I'll have to learn these languages to act in them."
She also refutes any interest in doing item songs in any language. "Even in Gabbar, the number is a guest appearance and a romantic song. And I did it for my friend Shabina Khan who is the film's co-producer."

Fans there was a buzz going around yesterday that Bollywood beauty Kareena Kapoor might do an item number for a Surya movie. The confusion began when one section media reported that the Chammak Challo Beauty was signed for Surya-Venkat Prabhu Film and other section of media was linking Kareena to an item number in Surya's current flick Anjaan.
Reliable sources report that yes Kareena is indeed being approached for the upcoming Surya-Venkat Prabhu film but the talk is in its pre-production stages and it's too early to commit if Kareena will indeed do the song. Sources also clarified that Kareena being part of Surya's other project Anjaan was just a rumor which has been denied by Thirupathi Brothers and Dhananjayan Govind of UTV.

India Pakistan Partition is Mani Ratnam's Next story
Mani Ratnam is currently been facing all heat for his humongous failure of 'Kadal' which has amounted a huge amounts of loss for the distributors , but one of the distributors who doesn't seem to care about this loss is Director Linguswamy , The director says he doesn't want a single penny from Mani Ratnam for this loss as Mani is Linguswamy's idol. This is what Linguswamy had to say regarding this " I will not knock on Mani Ratnam's doors and ask him to compensate for the loss suffered releasing Kadal . It is a business . Success and failure are part of it . Mani sir is my guru ". Mani Ratnam doesn't need to compensate money for the lost money but he certainly needs to compensate for the loss his name has suffered , from legendary director to director of mediocrity Mani Ratnam has had a huge downfall .He is hoping to get back his legendary status by signing up Bollywood biggies like Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor for his next, the story he has chosen has also a huge uncharted territory for Indian Cinema ,the story behind the partition of India and Pakistan , if there is one man who could pull this off, it is certainly Mani Ratnam and boy oh boy doesn't he need to pull this off.

Mani Ratnam's Next "Lajjo"
Just as we broke the news that Mani Ratnam is reviving his long lost project with Aamir Khan , news has just come out that Mani Ratnam is heading back to Bollywood for 'Lajjo' after his recent disaster which is 'Kadal'.Mr.Bobby Bedi who has produced some classics like 'Bandit Queen' , the Hindi remake of 'Alaipayuthey' and also 'Mangal Pandey' with Aamir Khan is supposedly producing 'Lajjo' as well.
Mani Ratnam as we all know is a director who does not let anyone interfere with his art and Aamir is an extremely creative person and a perfectionist who indulges in each and every department of the movie. Back in 2007 when the project was about to materialise Mr.Bedi was well aware of the combination he had chosen and had requested both of them to be independent and be mutually respectful of their responsiblities. That obviously failed to happen.
All creative differences apart now 'Lajjo' is back in 2013 and Mani Ratnam is heading back to Mumbai to start the initial works of this movie.Female lead has been finalised as Kareena Kapoor ,this will be the third consecutive time Kareena would be working with Aamir after '3 Idiots' and 'Talaash'.
'Lajjo' is about a man who frequently visits brothels, there he falls in love with a prostitute and marries her. What follows is the complications which arise in this couple's life.Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor play the lead with Cinematography by P.C Sreeram and Music by A.R Rahman.
Mani Ratnam's Next with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor
The Legendary Mani Ratnam has been running into a series of controversies following the debacle of "Kadal" but Mani Ratnam has always been one to get back from criticism and deliver even a bigger hit.
The Latest on Mani Ratnam is that he has roped in Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor in next Movie titlted "LAJJO".
