Actress being faithful to directors who give them the first break is a usual sight in kollywood, But an actress being totally dependent on a director is something new , that's exactly the case for Oviya.
Oviya made her foray into the the kollywood industry through 'Kalavani' which went on to be surprise hit in kollywood , earning huge accolades for Oviya, she even acted alongside Ullaganayagan in 'Manmadhan Ambu' but from then now, her career seemed dwindling down more and more , that's when she had a huge makeover and cameback with a huge hit in 'Kalakalappu' but still she found it very hard to bag more movies , her only release this year being 'Sillunnu Oru Sandippu' which turned to be a namesake release.

The latest buzz on Oviya is that, the actress seems to totally relying upon the Director Pandiraj decisions on accepting or rejecting a film offer , Pandiraj directed Oviya in 'Marina' which also went on to be a flop nevertheless. 'Moodar Koodam' was the latest film which was taken by Oviya on Pandiraj's advice , the director seems to have not only recommended the script but is also reportedly helping out Oviya by involving himself in Film Distribution. On Oviya's request to arrange for Major distribution , Pandiraj has taken it upon himself to distribute and release the film under his own Production banner.
