It's already a known fact that Vijay plays a dual role in the film namely Andrew and Aravind. Out of this one Vijay(Aravind) works as a detective/Investigating offer in Kolkata and he tries his best to neutralize the terror plans of Neil Nitin Mukesh. However it's only after sometime that we find out that the actual person behind all the terror and wrong doings is actually another Vijay(Andrew) who plays the villain role in the film.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu plays the love interest of Hero Vijay and there is also another heroine for villain Vijay. Kaththi is officially the biggest film of Vijay's career till date in terms of budget.
