Anirudh Ravichander is undoubtedly hero of the day after delivering a 6th Chartbuster in a row in Kaththi. The album is currently the number 1 in Itunes and number 1 trend in all social platforms. The reason why Yuvan Shankar Raja was Replaced in Vadacurry ?

Vadacurry is an upcoming film which stars the Subramaniapuram pair Jai & Swathi, The movie is produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri who sent a official press release on why Yuvan Shankar Raja was replaced by newcomers Vivek and Mervin.

"I would like to inform you that due to Yuvan Shankar Raja's hectic schedule towards the end of last year, we were unable to work along with him for Vadacurry, although he has delivered us an absolute mesmerising melody for the same. We are using that track for the said film. Both of us agreed mutually and felt it was best if we work with another music director for the quick completion of the movie ".

When the Vadacurry unit was trying to rope in Anirudh, he suggested musical duo Vivek and Mervin to Dhayanidhi. The duo have scored 4 (four) tracks for Vadacurry and will be scoring the BGM too.

Here is a small intro about Vivek and Mervin

Vivek Shiva, 22, trained in classical music. Learnt the carnatic mandolin and performed with numerous bands in school(PSBB KK Nagar) and college. Also is a music programmer & sound engineer for Anirudh Ravichander on all his projects till date such as 3, Ethir neechal, Vanakkam chennai, Irandam Ulagam & Velai Illa Pattadhari.

Mervin Solomon, 23, is a distinguished pianist certified by the London Trinity School. Also a music producer  from Chennai, has scored music for albums in gospel and classical genres. He also freelanced as a programmer in various tamil movie projects.Has toured extensively with numerous singers across the country.

Both of them were part of the band Zinx which was chosen by the Oscar winner Mr.A.R.Rahman.

Fans would remember that for quite sometime now the buzz about Mankatha 2 is getting bigger and bigger, Recently the producer of Mankatha Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine movies revealed that he wanted to make sure that 'Brand Mankatha' stayed forever and said The sequel might happen in future but as of now we haven't started any discussions. However Venkat Prabhu has already completed the plot for the sequel. 

Yesterday Director Venkat Prabhu in the press meet of Biriyani also spoke on Mankatha 2 and said I am ready for Mankatha 2 but Ajith Sir is busy next year and in case all works out, we have to have a producer. Looks like the question is not if Mankatha 2 will happen but it's just a matter when it will happen !

Our SS Music fans would remember that there was a big buzz surrounding Mankatha 2, Rumors were going around that Venkat Prabhu had roped in Chiyaan Vikram to be part of this sequel alongside Thala. The Producer of the movie Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies banner in a recent interview spoke about Mankatha 2
"The fact that people are still talking about Mankatha 2 shows the grand scale of victory Mankatha achieved. People can never such a movie and I want to make sure that Brand Mankatha stays forever in people's mind. The sequel might happen in future but as of now we haven't started any discussions. However Venkat Prabhu has already completed the plot for the sequel. To me Ajith signifies Mass in Tamil Nadu".

As SS Music first broke to you Dhanush was all geared up to re-unite with Vetrimaran once again, though Dhayanidhi Alagiri also officially confirmed the project http://ssmusictheblog.blogspot.in/2013/05/its-official-now-dhanushs-next-is-with.html  it never managed to kick off and when Dhanush announced that he had signed up with K.V Anand for his next, There were even more doubts if the Vetrimaran project was actually dropped.
