Superstar & Mahesh Babu to team up ?

Fans there is currently a buzz going around in Tollywood that Superstar and the Prince Mahesh Babu might team up for a film. According to Tollywood sources, Superstar will play a special role in Mahesh Babu's film which is directed by Srikanth Addala who previously directed Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle. PVP Cinemas are expected to produce this film.

Mahesh Babu who is currently into Srimanthudu with Koratala Shiva will complete this flick and move on to Srikanth's flick from the second half of the year. If this rumor does materialize this film would shatter all records in box office.

• A.R.Rahman was the highest placed south Indian ranking in at 13th. (#15 Money Rank,#15 Fame Rank)

• Mahesh Babu was placed at 30th Position earning Rs 51 Crore, while he was rated at    (#14 Money Rank #88 Fame Rank )

• A.R.Murugadoss came in at 39th Position earning Rs 44.33 Crore. (#17 Money Rank #97 Fame Rank)

• Ilayathalapathy Vijay was placed at 41st, grossing Rs 33 Crore. He ranked (#23 Money Rank #80 Fame Rank)

Superstar Rajinikanth's Lingaa release date was officially confirmed by K.S Ravikumar who posted this in his facebook page

Get ready to watch the movie on our #superstar #Rajinikanth Birthday.

 MOVIE RELEASE ON 12TH DECEMBER 2014"

This means that for the first time in  40 year film career of Superstar, A film is finally releasing on his birthday. Lingaa is expected to release in over 5000 screens in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The film television rights have been bagged by Jaya TV for 32 crores which is yet another record set by Superstar.

The duo of K.S Ravikumar and Superstar have delivered some of the biggest blockbusters in Muthu and Padayappa. Now the latest buzz is that Lingaa is well on its way to create a new record of the highest number of screens for any movie in South India. 

Producer of the film Rockline Venkatesh also recently revealed that the film is  purely script-driven, and not technology-oriented and Lingaa would remind the viewer of Rajni's movies of 90s.

Eros are giving Sony Music a run of their money by acquiring the biggest projects in Kollywood. After acquiring Ilayathalapathy's Kaththi and Superstar's Lingaa audio rights, Eros Now has now bagged Thala's Yennai Arindhaal. Here is Sreedhar Pillai tweet confirming the news

Superstar has taken the social media by storm with Lingaa, First the trailer, then the two video promos of Mona Gasolina and En Mannava have rocked the social platform. Director Shankar revealed in Lingaa audio launch that the film has done more pre-release business than Endhiran.

Now the latest buzz is that Superstar has apparently received a remuneration of 60 crores for this film. Directed by K.S Ravikumar the film also features Bollywood's Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty. 

The film is expected to release on Superstar's Birthday.

I gets a release date finally ?

Chiyaan Vikram- Shankar's magnum opus I, finally has a release date if sources are to be believed. The movie which was initially slated for Diwali release was postponed indefinitely and there was no clear idea on when the film would release. Now there are reports  surfacing that the team have zeroed upon Christmas as the final release date for the film.

An official confirmation on the release date is expected to be made soon. With Superstar's Lingaa slated for release on December 12th and now I scheduled for 25th, December will one great feast for movie buffs.

Shankar one of the most wanted Director in the country, is currently awaiting the release of I. The ace director is also rumored to direct Superstar's next in Endhiran 2 with Aamir Khan. Now Shankar who was present at the Audio launch of Lingaa said he needed to learn the art of making films fast from K.S Ravikumar.

Director Shankar's next movie after I has been one of the most debated topics in industry right now, The ace director himself revealed that he has completed three scripts and one of them was Endhiran 2 but he wasn't sure which one he'll begin next. Now there is a huge buzz that Shankar's next would be Endhiran 2 with Superstar Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan.

Yes Times of India has just reported that Aamir Khan has given the nod to star in this magnum opus. Endhiran which released way back in 2010 is still the undisputed king of box office, Now with Superstar and Aamir Khan joining hands Endhiran 2 could well be the biggest film ever made in Indian film History.

Superstar's Intro songs have a tradition of being crooned by S.P.Balasubramanyam. Superstar's Lingaa with K.S Ravikumar will also feature vocals from SPB but the surprise is that the Magudi (Kadal) fame Dinesh Kanagaratnam or simply known as Aaryan Dinesh will also feature in this Superstar's Intro song which has been titled as "Oh Nanba"

With just VFX and post productions work left for Shankar's I, The focus has now shifted towards his next magnum opus. The ace director in a recent interview said he has already completed three scripts and one of them is Endhiran 2 but he is not sure which script he'll be working on next.

Now there is currently buzz going around that Director Shankar has apparently met Bollywood scriptwriter Honey Irani to discuss a film starring Hrithik Roshan and Amitabh Bachchan in lead role. There are also speculations that Shankar might Direct Ilayathalapathy's 60th film after he completes Chimbudevan and Atlee's film. Superstar's Endhiran 2 is also very much in the mix an official confirmation on Shankar's next is expected to arrive once I gets a official release date.

Superstar creates a record with Lingaa

The emperor of Box Office Superstar Rajinikanth is coming soon with Lingaa. The film's teaser has taken the internet by storm crossing over 3 Million views. Now the latest buzz on this Superstar starrer is that the film has been sold to EROS for a price in excess of 150 Crores plus print publicity of 25 crores totalling to 175 crores.

This makes it Lingaa the biggest South Indian Film in regard to Theatrical rights. Even before the film release Superstar is back to smashing and setting new records in the industry. Directed by K.S.Ravikumar the film also features Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty.

The audio launch of the film is expected to happen on 16th November.

Lingaa reshot due to Kaththi ?

08/11/2014

Fans there was a buzz recently that certain portions of Lingaa were being re-shot as the film's plot resembled that of Ilayathalapathy's Kaththi. The producer of this Superstar starrer Rockline Venkatesh clarified stating

"There is no connection between the two scripts. Our script is completely different and we are not re-shooting any portion of the film again,It is a sentimental practice for those in the industry to break a pumpkin (which marks the end of a film) on their home ground. While technically all the portions of the film were completed on our recent Europe trip, we just want to shoot one small portion with Rajini sir in Chennai to mark the end of the film. We haven't really decided when we will be doing it since the portion is not significant. It will probably include some montage shots of Rajini sir walking. We will end the film by breaking the pumpkin. Right now, we are gearing up for the audio release," 

It's worth mentioning that the audio launch of the film which was initially slated to happen on 9th November was postponed was reasons unknown.

The buzz that K.V Anand and Thala are expected to team up for #Thala57 has absolutely stormed the K'Town. Almost all the leading portals have reported this buzz, According to the buzz the film is expected to be a crime thriller which will be produced by AGS Entertainment.

Earlier there were reports that K.V Anand was to direct Superstar after Kochadaiyaan and the duo had even met numerous times to discuss the film's script but the film never materialized and Superstar moved on to K.S Ravikumar's Lingaa while K.V Anand commenced Anegan instead. Now there is a buzz that this Thala starrer will be the script which was initially written for Superstar himself. The official announcement on Thala 57 is expected to be made once Anegan gets a release date.
