Nazriya Talks about the Love with Jai, Naiyandi Controversy and Why the movie Flopped ?

Controversial heroine Nazriya Nazim in a recent interview to Ananda Vikatan opened up on several issues from the Naiyaandi Controversy, to her relationship with Jai and much more. Here are some excerpts from the interview

On the Naiyaandi Controversy

Even before acting in the movie, I clearly explained that i wont act in such and such manners, After all these conditions were accepted only did i sign the agreement. It was my friends who saw the Naiyandi Trailer and called me and said there was a scene like this. I immediately contacted Sargunam and said i never acted in such a scene and asked him if can i watch a preview of the movie ? You did not come for shooting so i shot with a dupe artist. Preview is not possible said Sargunam. It was this ego issue that caused the controversy. Yes Money is very important in the industry but trust is more important.

The result of the movie wasn't that good too ?

If they did not do such cheating, Maybe the movie would have come out good.

About the talk that You're in love with Jai ?

If i Love Jai, ill definitely come out and say, But No..What can i do..Jai is my friend, A very good friend who knows everyone in my family too. That's it !!

Nazriya minutes back addressed the Naiyaandi Issue once for all by answering all the questions in her facebook page. Here's the post by Nazriya 

Dear facebook friends, I owe you an explanation for the events related to Naiyaandi. 
I have withdrawn my complaint against Naiyaandi director. All my concerns about the possibility of body double scenes being present in the movie have been addressed. The body double scenes from the trailer also have been already removed. 
I hope you will understand that it's your support that has given me the strength to stand up for what I believe is the right thing to do. 
Many of you are angry and have felt let down by what they feel as a publicity stunt by me. All I can ask you is to trust me , because a young budding artist like me doesn't need anymore love and attention than you have already given me. 
A Dhanush movie doesn't need any cooked up drama for publicity. In fact, such movies gives young artists like me publicity - not the other way around. I should be a fool to promote myself at the expense of a movie which is a result of a blood and sweat by hundreds of technicians and artists. 
Naiyaandi is an excellent family entertainer. I hope you will join me in supporting this movie.

Nazriya Says Sorry to Naiyaandi Director

The Naiyandi Controversy involving Nazriya has finally come to an end. Sources say that Nazriya's father & Nazriya along with the crime branch officials have seen the film like they requested and didn't find any objectionable scene in the film. Sources add Nazriya personally said sorry to Director Sargunam on this regard. The close up scene which Nazriya alleged was a body double will also be removed from the film.

Nazriya Nazim will be meeting the media tonight to officially clarify things on Naiyaandi issue.

1. In the first night sequence where Dhanush and Nazriya's legs are together 
2. Once they get up, The scene showing the sweating in Nazriya Nazim's back.

Naiyandi Director Says Nazriya is doing it for Publicity

Actress Nazriya and the Naiyaandi controversy has been the most debated topic in recent days. The actress who has filed a police complaint seeking the movie should be first screened to her and then be released if not the movie should not be allowed to be screened.

The problem started when Nazriya posted this on her facebook wall 

I have complained against the producer/director of Naiyaandi to Nadigar Sangham for cheating. They have used a body double to shoot the below scene without my permission. This is against contractual agreements. We will take legal action.

Director Sarkunam has now issued a statement that 

"When editing the song, I found that I needed a close-up to get the content of a scene across to the audience. I asked Nazriya to come and shoot for that close-up shot but she said, 'I cannot come from Kerala to shoot this. You can shoot it with someone else'," he said and added, "However, I do not know why she has a problem now with it. Maybe, she is doing this for publicity."

Sarkunam also said that if Nazriya is offended by the shot that appears in the trailer, he is ready to remove it, and challenged the actress to watch the film with media persons and claim that she hasn't acted in the Inikka Inikka song. "The film has been granted a 'U' certificate. It is a family entertainer," he added.

Nazriya However in her police complaint to the Commissioner had this to say

"He abused me, threatened me and my family, and vowed that he would bring disrespect to my Muslim community willfully" .

Nazriya Files Police Complaint against Naiyaandi Director

Actress Nazriya Nazim has just filed a complaint to the Chennai Police Commissioner about her own Naiyaandi Director for using body double against her will. Nazriya has stated in the Police complaint that the Director Sargunam should first show the movie to her before release, If not the release of the movie should itself be stopped. However Director Sargunam has hit back at the actress by issuing a statement asking if Nazriya is ready to to watch movie with the media and say it's not her in the song sequence.

The director has assured that he has not used any body double for the song shoot, and say it is heroine Nazriya in the scenes. Sargunan has said that he wanted a close up shot for the film and requested Nazriya to act it, when she said she can't come from Kerala for one shot and gave a go ahead for a shot with a body double. The director has raised a question what is her problem suddenly at the last moment when the film is set to release.

Lead actor Dhanush has not involved himself in this controversy whatsoever he recently made this tweet regarding the movie release

I am Deeply Hurt, Upset and Worried - Nazriya Nazim

Actress Nazriya Nazim is currently in the epicentre of a huge controversy surrounding her Naiyaandi movie which is slated for release on coming friday. The actress alleged against the producer and director of the movie for using a body double for an intimate scene without proper notice. The actress has revealed more details on the controversy in her recent interview to The Times of India. 

Here are some excerpts from the Interview 

What exactly happened? Did you know about the duped portion earlier?

I was watching the trailer recently and was shocked to find a clipping that was not shot with me. The trailer includes a quick shot of my hip. It is a separate shot and it is followed by a close-up shot of my face. The director has taken a body double for that particular hip scene, which I had refused to do. The hip that's showed in the scene is not mine. I was not even aware of this until I watched the trailer.

Did you speak to the director about it?

Yes. I immediately called the director ( Sargunam) and he said, "You said 'no'. So, what can we do? We had to go for a dupe." I didn't expect this kind of reply from him. Now, my concern is, how will the audience know that it's not me?

You must be really upset...

I was duped. I am deeply hurt, upset and worried. Something has happened without my knowledge and I was not even informed about it. Acting is my profession, and I have certain values.

We heard that there are other issues with the costumes...

We shot a song and I was not comfortable with the costumes in that. So, I requested the producer to reshoot the song in a different costume. I also requested them not to use any photo or footage in future from the sequences that were to be scrapped, and also got an agreement signed stating so. But, the team has used a photograph from that costume for a promotional still. They now state that it happened by mistake. I'm against any photograph or footage to be used without my knowledge from that song.

Have you filed a complaint with the Nadigar Sangam?

I have asked the director to remove the 'dupe portion' before the film's release. If it is not, I will file a complaint.

You seem to have handled the issue in a mature way. What would you like to tell your fans about this?

I have not worn any glamorous costumes in Naiyaandi. If the audience gets to see any glamorous pose, I would like them to know that it's not me because I really don't know if they have used a body double elsewhere in the film.

Naiyaandi, Co-starring Dhanush & Nazriya Nazim is slated for release Friday, the 11 of October.  A huge controversy has been sprunged up by the lead actress Nazriya Nazim. The actress has alleged against the producer and director of the movie for using a body double for an intimate scene without proper notice. 

Nazriya Nazim had this to say on her verified Facebook Page

"I have complained against the producer/director of Naiyaandi to Nadigar Sangham for cheating. They have used a body double to shoot the below scene without my permission. This is against contractual agreements. We will take legal action."

The scene Nazriya is referring is one involving Dhanush holding her from Behind, Nazriya alleges that this scene was shot in a more intimate and glamorous manner with a body double. We have to see how Director Sargunam, Dhanush and producer of the movie react to this allegation.
