As we have been reporting for a quite a while, Santhanam is currently gearing up for the Maryada Ramanna remake which has been titled as Vallavannaukku Pullum Aayudham where he'll playing the lead role. Now the latest addition to the project is the current musical sensation Anirudh Ravichandar. This remake will be directed by Srinath and be produced by PVP Cinemas, However the lead lady of the movie is yet to finalized, reports suggest Bolllywood actress Geeta Basra might be the front-runner for the role. After Vishaka Singh in Kanna Laddu Thinna Asaiya , Santhanam is all set to romance a Bollywood beauty in Geeta Basra who also happens to be the girlfriend of Harbhajan Singh. As SS Music earlier reported Santhanam's next production venture is a remake of S.S Rajamouli's 'Maryada Ramanna' which was very recently remade in North as 'Son of Sardaar'. Santhanam who also plays the lead role in the movie has almost roped in the UK born Bollywood actress 'Geeta Basra' as the female lead. This is what Geeta had to say regarding this " Yes i have been offered the Son of Sardaar role (Hindi Version of Maryada Ramanna) remake, Talks are in the final stages but I'm most likely to do it . I have worked with Rajiv Menon for a jewellery ad but i haven't done much in the South so far, I'm not that familiar with Santhanam's work but i heard he was big star there and has a great sense of comedy."
