Rana Daggubati Talks about Thala 53
Rana Daggubati plays an important role in the one most anticipated movie of Kollywood Thala 53. Rana who has made a habit of appearing in cameos like the one he did in the Telugu version of Theeya Vella Seiyannum Kumaru and in Ranbir Kapoor's Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. However Rana has said his part in Thala 53 will be very special one and an important one too. Thala 53 is expected to be September release with Thala 54 being a pongal release.

The separation of her parents Kamal and Sarika and her father's car accident and her mother Sarika's accident when she slipped on the staircase are few incidents which she considers to be the saddest moments in her life.

SJ Surya is back to direction after his Anbe Aaruyire which was released way back in 2005. The controversial director is currently directing "Isai" a story about the clash of Ilayaraja and A.R.Rahman.
SJ Surya himself plays the role of a young A.R Rahman and Prakash Raj was roped into play the role of Ilayaraja. However after several days of shoot Prakash Raj quit the movie citing he was a huge fan of Ilayaraja.
The latest buzz in k'town is SJ Surya has roped in veteran versatile actor Sathyaraj to play the Isainagni's role instead and Jayaprakash will be essaying the character of Mani Ratnam.
Sj Surya initially approached AR Rahman to compose Music for the flick however ARR turned down the offer and encouraged SJ Surya himself to compose the music.

Ban on Bharathiraja's Annakodi ?

Following the ban episode on Vishwaroopam, almost every odd movie that releases has now come under the threat of being banned. The latest movie that has suffered the fate is Bharathiraja's Annakodi.
A petition has been filed by Thevar Pasarai Iyakkam president AK Ragupathy stating that "The Film is a love story between Thevar girl and a Dalit boy, it may create communal clashes between groups."
The petitioner added that the content the film were against 5B of cinematographic Act 1952, but the Central Board of Film Certification have awarded U/A and have granted permission for release. Raghupathy demanded the movie be banned in the South Tamil Nadu.
However the Judge asked the petitioner if he had seen the movie to which he replied No. Following which the judge said the petitioner cannot presume that the movie will cause communal imbalance without even seeing the movie, Hence the case was postponed to Friday, the day of Annakodi release.
Sreesanth in movie with Prabhu Deva & Prakash Raj

Cricketer Sreesanth who was arrested for charges of spot fixing in IPL 6 is now all set to turn his attention towards the silver screen. Sreesanth will be making his acting debut through a movie tilted "Big Picture" this bilingual film will be released in Tamil and Malayalam and be directed by P.Balachandra Kumar.
Though the initial discussions for the film was done a while back , Sreesanth has agreed to do the film very recently. The film already as Prakash Raj and Prabhu Deva to its star cast , the director also revealed that the story of movie has nothing to do with the life of Sreesanth or his match fixing scandal he is just another actor in the movie. Dubai, London , Delhi and Kochi are some filming locations the director has opted for.
The film is expected to begin from August or september as Sreesanth's passport has been surrendered before the court regarding his connection with match fixing case.

Ameer one of the ace directors of Kollywood with movies like Mounam Pesiyadhe, Paruthiveeran and recently Aadhibhagavan has once again turned Hero for Peranbu Konda Periyorgale. This political comedy movie is currently being shot in Theni.
The shooting was halted suddenly when an unidentified gang threw stones at the crew and cast , the gang also totally wrecked the movie equipment before running away. Ameer has immediately lodged a file complaint with the district police official. The shooting has once again resumed with security.

Gautham Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram with Surya has been bagging all the headlines in recent times as the mystery over the lead lady of the movie continues. Right from the start there were numerous reports that either Trisha or Amala Paul would bag the prestigious role.
An another important point to be considered is, the movie being a periodic flick the heroine does a role of school girl and Gautham was more inclined towards Trisha considering their Vinnaithani Vaaruvaaya's success however Surya seems to have intervened and pointed out that Trisha has crossed over age of 30 and it would be mistake if we caste Trisha as a school girl and had recommended Amala Paul instead. Gautham after series of flops was in no position to debate and argue with Surya over the heroine choice seems to have gone with Amala Paul.
With the kollywood industry buzzing with these reports Actress Radha seems have to approached Gautham and as pointed out that her Daughter Thulasi Nair has just completed her 10th and would be more appropriate for the school girl role. However Gautham Menon seems to have managed by stating though she would be appropriate for the school role, the onscreen pairing of Surya-Thulasi wont be that apt.

Here is a less known information about one of the most romantic songs ever composed, The Hit Chart-buster "Valoyosai" song from Sathya wasn't actually composed for Kamal Haasan, Isaigani Illayaraja had actually composed the song for one of his album however when Kamal came across the song he requested the song be used for his Movie Sathya and the rest is history.

Selvaraghavan movies are usually of high expectations his Irandaam Ullagam has higher expectations as both Arya and Anushka are doing a dual role in the movie. Though the shoot for the movie has been completely wrapped before 2 months, being a periodic film the VFX works are immense in the movie and hence the delay.
The latest buzz on the movie is the producers PVP cinemas have targeted Irandaam Ullagam as an Eid (August 8) Release along with Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express. Ilayathalapathy's Thalaivaa, Thala 53 and Jiiva's Endrendrum Punnagai are lined up for August release.
Civil Court Sends Notice to Sarathkumar and Radha Ravi

Veteran actor Kumarimuthu was recently removed from the South Indian Actor's association when he demanded on the details of the new building which was being built as he felt there was some misuse of funds.
Kumarimuthu has now filed a complaint to Civil Court stating that the organization has removed him from its member group and the secretary Radha Ravi had also threatened him.
Upon hearing the petetion Civil Court has now sent a notice to the President Sarath Kumar and Secretary Radha Ravi of South Indian Actor's Association.
