Sippaai's Vai Raja Vai for Gautham Karthik

Gautham Karthik currently hold 2 aces up his sleeve, after his dream debut in Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal', his next 2 projects are 'Sippaai' and 'Vai Raja Vai'.

Sippaai is directed by Saravanan of 'Silambattam' fame which would be a out and out romantic movie set in college background, which pairs Lakshmi Menon with Gautham Karthik.  'Vai Raja Vai' is directed by Aishwarya R Dhanush who made her directorial debut with 3.

Both these movies have Yuvan Shankar Raja Musical. Having Started out his film career with AR Rahman musical and now Yuvan Shankar Shankar Raja , Gautham Karthik is definitely one lucky guy.

Maariyan Musical Update

Exciting news for all Rahman fans out there .The latest update about Maariyan is that the audio launch for this Bharatbala directed Dhanush starrer will be on April 23rd.

The promo of the song 'Nenje Ezhu' penned by Kutti Revathi and sung by A R Rahman himself was supposed to release on April 9th followed by another version of this song on  April 16th, but the team have decided to cut down single launch and instead organized a grand Audio Launch on April 23rd.

Other lyricists who have penned songs in this much awaited album includes the legendary Vaali who has written two songs, Kabilan and a song written by Dhanush which is sung by Rahman which is said to be a celebration song in Country genre.
Both the songs sung by Rahman are solo numbers.Other performers in this album include Shwetha Mohan who has sung a duet and Velmurugan

Parvathi Menon in a recent interview said that 'Nenje Ezhu' is her favourite track in the album and she feels like it is close to heaven.

Maariyan had three 10 seconds teaser which came out on YouTube recently, the BGM in teaser 3 is not a song in the album.Rahman had done that exclusively for the teaser since the directed wanted a retro feel and he had given reference of MSV's 'Oru Pennai Paarthu' number. Maariyan will have two great romantic numbers and a total of 5 songs.The album is expected to hit the shelves on April 23rd.

Sources also reveal that, like in Rhythm where Rahman based his songs on the 5 elements of nature - Fire, Water , Earth , Air & Space. Mariyaan Songs would be based on the 5 emotions of Love, separation, pain, firm & edgy.

No Ilayaraja , Its AR Rahman once again for Mani Ratnam

For the past few days our kollywood rumor mills has been quite busy hinting upon a possible reunion of Ilayaraja and Mani Ratnam. The Legendary Combo who parted ways due to  their creative indifferences recently met in Mumbai after several decades, this meeting sparked off a talk that Mani Ratnam might go with the Maestro Ilayaraja for his next movie, However Mani Ratnam has opted for AR Rahman once again.

Sushasini Mani Ratnam made the official confirmation that Mani Ratnam would be working with A.R Rahman for his next movie. As SS Music earlier reported Mani Ratnam's next was a period film "Lajjo" featuring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor which was based on the India - Pakistan Partition.

A.R Rahman wants Priyanka Chopra to give him a Job

The Mozart of Madras was recently awarded for his "Infinite Love album" by MTV , the award was presented to him by Priyanka Chopra whose "In My City" featuring. will.i.am has become a total sensation. While taking to the press , AR Rahman was asked if he would give Priyanka Chopra an opputurinty to sing for him.
