Firstly he called the Censor Board, a mafia gang for which is his own mentor 'Director Bala' said Ameer should be punished for making such childish statements, Now Ameer has once hit another controversy with his comment on Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam

Kamal's House Mortgaged again

Last month Kamal Haasan had come out and openly stated in the media that his house has been mortgaged to a financier and that he has pledged everything in his possession to produce 'Vishwaroopam'.This happened after the movie was banned by the Tamil Nadu government in response to the state wide protests from a certain religious outfit against the 95 crore movie.Following this heart wrenching speech by Kamal ,people from the cine industry ,stars from Bollywood came out in support of him .Fans of the star came out in huge numbers and even started to send cheques and DD's to Kamal's residence.

After what seemed like a truly disturbing phase for Kamal and the Tamil film Industry,TN Government came forward and held talks with the concerned parties and settled the matter amicably.'Vishwaroopam' came out all guns blazing on February 6th, since then movie goers have lapped it up and now the movie has grossed over 200 crores internationally.This has helped Kamal retrieve his house from the financier he had pledged it to.But since he has not received his entire share from his distributors he has pledged  to a nationalized bank for a lower interest rate, This what Kamal Haasan had to say

This is not a Censor Board , Its Money Seeking Mafia Gang - Ameer

What is with Tamil Cinema and censor board these days.If the month of January was filled with 'Vishwaroopam' , 'Vanayutham' had a fair share of contribution to this in February and today Ameer has brought up a fresh accusation against the censor board.While leaving to Malaysia to promote AadhiBhagavan he called the censor board as a "mafia group".

His latest movie 'Aadhibhagavan' which released on the 22nd of February was given a A certificate.Ameer alleges that the censor board had asked him a certain bribe amount to certify the movie as U/A or U.Since  our industry is just fresh out of the controversy which surrounded 'Vishwaroopam' he says that he did not want to rake this controversy up now.But he also reveals that the censor board is even trying to stop his movie from running in Malaysia since he has not heeded to the censor's board bribe demands.

The movie was granted A certificate after several cuts and muting certain dialogues.Ameer tells the movie was granted A certificate despite it not having any scenes which could be termed provocative.Also the songs of the movie could not be screened on television since it had a A certificate , the censor board had to chop off visuals which had liquor bottles and handed back to Ameer on 27th February.He alleges that till day not even a single scene of the movie has been given to him to be shown on television for promotional purposes.
Ameer signed off by saying producing a movie would be a impossible task if the censor board continues to function the way it is now.

"Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan" is only the second movie following "Vishwaroopam" to be released in 3D Auro. "Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan" has been following "Vishwaroopam" step for step. Like Vishwaroopam , the former was also subjected to religious protest which in turn resulted in a title change and the movie being rated "A" by the censor board officials. Another Ban Lifted on Vishwaroopam

Ban imposed on "Vishwaroopam" in Malaysia has been uplifted. "Malaysian Film Censorship Board" initially did approve the movie and it was showcased in local cinemas on January 24th but the approval was immediately withdrawn a day later following a directive from Home Ministry.

• Why is that every time we fall prey to divisions ? I have had problems with Hindu Brothers.Look at my films, do you see hate in them ? How can people from my home state accuse me ? That was my anger.
