The ever Gaana Awards were announced yesterday, Gaana.com a intitative by the Times group is a leading music portal in India, The prestigious website selected Ilayathalapathy's Vanganna Vanakkanga as the most popular song in tamil and the possible Vijay58 heroine Priyanka Chorpa bagged the most popular english song with Exotic.
The various other awards are as follows

Deepika Padukone out and Shruti Haasan in for Ilayathalapathy !

Fans as we have been reporting for sometime now, Deepika Padukone was in talks with Chimbudevan for his magnum opus with Ilayathalapathy Vijay. Earlier reports had it that the actress had indeed given the nod to play the female lead but the latest report is that the Bollywood beauty has opted out due to date issues.
The buzz is that Shruti Haasan has been approached and will reprise the Deepika Padukone's role in the film, It's worth mentioning that Priyanka Chopra was also considered for the female lead but she too dropped out due to date issues. Actress Sridevi who made a comeback in English Vinglish has however been bowled over by the script and agreed to be part of this fantasy film.

Vijay 58 to beat Kaththi Record ?

With Kaththi officially being declared as the Biggest movie of Vijay's career till date, Well it looks like Vijay 58 will top that record real soon. Sources now report that Vijay 58 has already the making of being the biggest of his career. A.R.Rahman is likely to do the film with Priyanka Chopra or Deepika Padukone playing female lead and Ileana D'Cruz playing the second female lead.
Vijay was so impressed with Chimbudevan's script and his storyboard screenplay that he has planned to complete Kaththi as early as possible and begin the shooting schedule for Vijay 58 by September. There are even talks that this film might be dubbed and released in Bollywood too.

How did Director Chimbudevan Convince Ilayathalapathy Vijay ?

It's already known that Ilayathalapathy Vijay will be part of Chimbudevan film after the completion of A.R.Murugadoss movie. Sources have now reported that Vijay will go ahead with Chimbudevan's fantasy film from the month of September.
Initially actress Deepika Padukone was linked up with the project but sources now reveal that the makers have almost roped in the other leading lady of Bollywood in Priyanka Chopra. Sources also add that another leading actress will also be part of this flick.
Actor Vijay was completely convinced by the way Chimbudevan narrated the script with frame by frame storyboard narration which gave Ilayathalapathy the feel of watching the film.

The latest buzz is that Ileana D'cruz who earlier paired up Vijay in Nanban will be the other heroine in Vijay-Chimbu Devan project.
