Surya not Vijay was First choice in Nanban Movie ?

Nanban movie till date remains one of the best Multi-starrer ever made in Kollywood, But here is an unknown and an rather shocking information on the film.

Actor cum Director Parthiban in a recent interview revealed that he was the first choice to direct the 3 Idiots remake and was fixed a salary and other conditions agreed as well. The Star actor however was hesitant in casting Vijay in the lead because he felt Surya was the opt choice to reprise Aamir Khan's role as Vijay's market value and target audience were entirely different. 

Parthiben went on add that he was surprised that Shankar was then roped into Direct the Film and hence he moved out of the film, He also said he was not okay with the idea of Directing Vijay in a remake. Parthiban concluded saying he might direct a Surya starrer soon as whenever they meet all they talk about is working in a film together.
