After Rajinikanth It's Surya Says Director Ameer

Jannal Oram an upcoming multi-starrer featuring Vimal, Vidharth and Parthiban alongside Manisha Yadav and Meenakshi made waves yesterday following an innovative promotion strategy which was rounded off by Audio Launch at Kamala Theatre. Actor Surya graced the audio launch function alongside Keyaar and Director Ameer.

Director Ameer and Surya speeches were the highlight of the event, The Director who has given out some classics like Mounam Pesiyadhe, Raam and Paruthiveeran thanked Surya for giving him a chance with Mounam Pesiyadhe and said If it wasn't for Surya he wouldn't have become a director in the first place, The Director went on to add that Surya is the only hero after Rajinikanth, that is liked by all family audience.

Actor Surya who was recently in the Headlines for dropping out of Gautham Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram spoke that his friendship with Gautham Menon will always remain and they will join hands in the next year.

Director Ameer and crew attacked by an Unidentified Gang at shooting spot

Ameer one of the ace directors of Kollywood with movies like Mounam Pesiyadhe, Paruthiveeran and recently Aadhibhagavan has once again turned Hero for Peranbu Konda Periyorgale. This political comedy movie is currently being shot in Theni.

The shooting was halted suddenly when an unidentified gang threw stones at the crew and cast , the gang also totally wrecked the movie equipment before running away. Ameer has immediately lodged a file complaint with the district police official. The shooting has once again resumed with security.

Rumors are flooding kollywood that Thala Ajith is all set to star in a Ameer Directorial. Yes, Ameer after his Aadhibhagavan has roped in Thala Ajith for his next movie if reports are to be believed. Sources reveal this would be remake of Sivaji Ganeshan's yesteryear hit Bale Pandiya.

Director Ameer's recent movie 'Aadhibhagavan' featured Jeyam Ravi in a dual role , though the critics praised the movie, the draggy screenplay in the first half resulted in the movie being shelved from the theaters within a very short span. As SS Music reported earlier 'Ameer' made a shocking revelation about the Censor Board behaving like a gang of Mafias and demanding bride money for issuing 'U' Certificates for 'Aadhibhagavan'.  Director Bala though had something to say regarding this "Censor Board's procedure is perfect and there is no room whatsoever for corruption in Censor board, Its very childish to oppose a government organisation and people who comment against the censor board should be severely punished".

This is not a Censor Board , Its Money Seeking Mafia Gang - Ameer

What is with Tamil Cinema and censor board these days.If the month of January was filled with 'Vishwaroopam' , 'Vanayutham' had a fair share of contribution to this in February and today Ameer has brought up a fresh accusation against the censor board.While leaving to Malaysia to promote AadhiBhagavan he called the censor board as a "mafia group".

His latest movie 'Aadhibhagavan' which released on the 22nd of February was given a A certificate.Ameer alleges that the censor board had asked him a certain bribe amount to certify the movie as U/A or U.Since  our industry is just fresh out of the controversy which surrounded 'Vishwaroopam' he says that he did not want to rake this controversy up now.But he also reveals that the censor board is even trying to stop his movie from running in Malaysia since he has not heeded to the censor's board bribe demands.

The movie was granted A certificate after several cuts and muting certain dialogues.Ameer tells the movie was granted A certificate despite it not having any scenes which could be termed provocative.Also the songs of the movie could not be screened on television since it had a A certificate , the censor board had to chop off visuals which had liquor bottles and handed back to Ameer on 27th February.He alleges that till day not even a single scene of the movie has been given to him to be shown on television for promotional purposes.
Ameer signed off by saying producing a movie would be a impossible task if the censor board continues to function the way it is now.

"First Vishwaroopam now Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan"

"Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan" is only the second movie following "Vishwaroopam" to be released in 3D Auro. "Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan" has been following "Vishwaroopam" step for step. Like Vishwaroopam , the former was also subjected to religious protest which in turn resulted in a title change and the movie being rated "A" by the censor board officials. The Censor board didn't just stop there , they enforced huge cuts on the movie to an extent of changing the heroine's character name from Kali to Rani and Muting the word "Bhagavan".

We Sincerely hope this resemblance is also matched with the success of the movie.

"Aadhibaghavan title Change"

Following the footsteps of "Vishwaroopam" , "Aadhibaghavan" was also subjected to religious protest.  Several Hindu groups lodged a complaint against the movie stating the title hurts their Hindu sentiments and it must be changed. Their protests have been successful as the title of movie has now been changed to "Ameerin Aadhi-Bhagawan".
