Balki, The Bollywood Director who has delivered few gems in Cheeni Kum and Paa is currently directing Shamitabh featuring the stellar star cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan. The Film also features two legends in Ilayaraja and PC Sreeram.
Now Director Balki in a recent interview revealed that he is a fan of Dhanush, "I have been a big fan of his acting since Kadhal Kondein. He is an original actor and he doesn't remind me of any other actor. When you see the film, you will know why I chose him for the character. "

Dhanush's next release after the massive success of Velai Illa Pattathari will be Shamitabh which also features the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. According to a source close to the film crew, Dhanush plays a deaf and mute junior artist in the film and Amitabh Bachchan will do the the voiceover for Dhanush's character.
Sources also add that recently a scene was shot were Dhanush after a long struggle as a junior artist gets a big break and has won a award and is shown walking the red carpet. The film is currently slated for release on the 6th of February 2014. The film also marks the acting debut of Akshara Haasan, second daughter of our legendary Kamal Haasan.
Dhanush in a recent media interaction revealed that the film's story was very novel one but his role is very tough and a challenging one. Directed by Balki, Film features Ilayaraja musical and P.C.Sreeram cinematography.

Fans there is currently a huge buzz going around that Hrithik Roshan will be paid Rs.50 Crores for Ashutosh Gowariker's "Mohenjo Daro" making him the highest paid actor in the country surpassing our very own Superstar Rajinikanth.
According to a source. "The modalities are being worked out and the studio will come on board in the next 15 days. Hrithik's first-of-its-kind pay structure has been taken into account.". Trade analyst Amod Mehra said "This will make Hrithik the highest paid actor in the country and Mohenjo Daro the most expensive film."
Ashutosh Gowariker has already delivered two golden period dramas in Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar.

The Legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush are sharing the screen space in Balki's Shamitabh. The film also marks the acting debut of Kamal Haasan's younger daughter Akshara Haasan. Amitabh Bachchan in a recent tweet called Dhanush a South Superstar and also said he felt a strong resemblance between Dhanush and Brazilian Footballer Neymar.

Manam is not only rocking the box office but winning our celebrity hearts as well, Our Legendary Kamal Haasan for all the praise for the film and said this was the fitting tribute to Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Now the latest buzz that the film is getting ready for a Bollywood remake and the likely cast is reported to be Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, While Katrina Kaif plays Samantha role while Preity Zinta reprises Shriya Saran's role.
Reliance Entertainment which co-produced Manam are expected to produce this Bollywood remake as well, While Vikram Kumar who directed this original will remake this Bollywood flick as well.

As SS Music earlier reported there was a huge buzz going around that Dhanush would pair up with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan for ace Director Balki's next. Some were circumspect with the report because Shah Rukh Khan had already allocated his dates for this Balki flick and reports that Dhanush would replace SRK was too unreal for many. However Dhanush has himself confirmed that he has indeen been signed up by the Cheeni Kum and Paa Director to share screen space with Big B. Ilayaraja would be scoring the music with P.C.Sreeram being the cinematographer. Akshara Haasan was also associated the same project but we are yet to receive confirmation on that.

One of the leading dailies of our city, The Times of India came up with an special article on Amitabh Bachchan and Superstar Rajinikanth. The two legends have acted in several Hindi Films together, and even played the leads in the remakes of each other's films in Bollywood and Kollywood. So when Big B was present in Chennai for the Centenary celebrations of Indian Cinema, The Times of India reporter caught with Amitabh and quizzed him 'Will one superstar meet the other?' And an initially-confused Amitabh responded, 'Superstar? Which superstar?'.
Only after the reporter explained to him that they were referring to Rajinikanth did he answer them, "Of course yes. If he is there, I will meet him.'

But we find it hard to believe that there've been no takers for your request...
Well, nothing has come. Yes, I was offered a role in a Rajini film, Robot (Endhiran). It was for the role of the villain. I checked with Rajini, but he said, 'haan, no sir. I don't think you should do it.' I'm open to any good offers from here.

Kamal's younger Daughter to act in SRK Film ?
The latest buzz going around is that Kamal's younger daughter Akshara Haasan might debut as a heroine in Director Balki's next. The ace director who has delivered movies like Paa and Cheeni Kum is currently working on his next flick which might have both Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan doing prominent roles.
Akshara Haasan has stated numerous times that she has no interest in being front of the camera, rather her interest was Direction and not acting. However with Balki offering such a prestigious role it's very unlikely that Akshara will turn this offer down.

Big B and Superstar Together in Cannes Film Festival
The Legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Superstar Rajinikanth have ruled the Indian Cinema for decades but their time to rule Hollywood has finally come. The Dynamic duo will be attending the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Whilst Amitabh Bachchan will represent his first Hollywood movie in 'The Great Gatsby', Superstar Rajinikanth will be unveiling his trailer for 'Kochadaiyaan'.
Dr. J Murli Manohar , the co-producer of Kochadaiyaan was very excited to confirm Superstar's presence alongside Big B in Cannes, here is what he had say
"Its a very big moment in the history of Indian Cinema, Rajini is as excited as a child about the way Kochadaiyaan has come out, Technique vice it takes Indian Cinema to all new heights. Superstar has shown the rough cut of the movie to some of his very close friends, AR Rahman was blown away on seeing the rough cut.
Apparently our Superstar Rajinikanth has been advised against long air travel, but he is no mood whatsoever to stop himself from making the prestigious long journey to Cannes, A Source very close to Kochadaiyaan has revealed that " Rajinikanth is very adamant on going, whenever anyone makes a mention of his delicate health, Rajini seems to give the example of his very close friend Mr Bachchan, who has braved the most serious illnesses and done exactly what he wanted and gone exactly where he wanted in his career."

Amitabh Bachchan & Rajinikanth in AR Rahman's Direction ?
As we reported earlier there were several talks of our Oscar Hero A.R Rahman turning to film direction along with his long time friend Resul Pookutty, but those talks subsided as time went along. However these rumors have been justified as reports are now stating that Amitabh Bachchan has been signed to play a role of Pakistani national in this movie. There were also reports of Resul Pookutty personally meeting our Superstar requesting him to be a part of this movie.
Now the question to be answered yet is would A.R Rahman also wield the Megaphone for this movie or is Resul Pookutty going it alone and would the Legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Superstar Rajinikanth share screen space for this movie ?

It's 100 Years for Indian Cinema , The Grand Festival to celebrate it's 100th year anniversary is scheduled to take place in its birthplace Tamil Nadu or to be more specific- Chennai. Films have become part and parcel of every Indian's life , be it Tamil , Telugu , Kannada , Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali or Oriya.
To celebrate the centenary year ,the South Indian Film Chamber Of Commerce has decided to host the event in Chennai , the reason being Chennai is the birthplace of Indian cinema , the telekinesis process was done in Chennai right from day one and Chennai has always been the capital of Indian Cinema.
The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce President Kalyan said "Indian Cinema's 100th year celebration is to held on April 26th ,27th and 28th in Chennai .At the beginning of the ceremony there would be a special training session for aspiring young talents regarding film making ,in the evening there would be dance, music and other entertainment events and on the last day you would see the legends of Indian Cinema from Rajini, Kamal ,Amitabh, Mammootty ,Mohanlal and Chiranjeevi.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Jawarhalal Nehru Stadium.
