Two Climaxes for Yennai Arindhaal

Ace Director Gautham Menon is currently into the post production works for Thala's Yennai Arindhaal, The Director who specializes in Cop movies also has a habit of having two climaxes in store for the audience,  in Suriya's Kaaka Kaaka Jyothika was murdered in Theatrical version while there was also an alternate ending in DVD version where Jyothika was shown alive. The same applied for Vinnaithandi Varuvaya where there were two separate ending for Tamil and Telugu versions.

Now the latest buzz is that GVM also has two separate climaxes for this Thala starrer. The film is currently slated for Jan 29th release.

Thala's Yennai Arindhaal with Director Gautham Menon has generated a huge buzz, The film's title announcement and First Look Poster trended worldwide. Now the fans are eagerly waiting for the teaser of the film certain section of fans hoped the teaser would arrive on 20th November as it was the Birthday of Mrs.Thala, Shalini Ajith.

There is currently a buzz going around that these following dates have been fixed for important milestones of Yennai Arindhaal

The magic duo of Harris Jayaraj & Gautham Menon have united once again in Thala's Yennai Arindhaal, Expectations are sky high following the chartbusters the duo have delivered in Minnale, Kakkha Kakkha, Pachaikili Muthucharam and Varanam Aayiram. Harris Jayaraj yesterday held a chat session with his fans and revealed few details on the upcoming Yennai Arindhaal album

Harris revealed the opening lines of Thala's mass intro 

"Adhaaru Adhaaru , Udhaaru Udhaaru..
Pattaasum summave koluthama vedikkum."

Harris went on add that this mass number has been crooned by Gaana Bala & Vijay Prakash. Harris added the album would be out once all works are complete. The album will feature 6 Tracks and so far the singers featured are Karthik, Gaana Bala, Vijay Prakash and a singer from UK. The album is expected by December.

Thala's Yennai Arindhaal directed by Gautham Menon has three female leads namely Anushka, Trisha and Parthavy Nair. The Mollywood actress who is also into Kamal Haasan's Uthama Villain recently opened to Times of India and talked about her role in this Thala starrer

Gautham sir is a filmmaker I always looked up to and wished to work with, as he gives a lot of space for women in his movies. All his films show them as strong, admirable personalities. Most of his works like Kakka Kakka figure atop my list of favourites as well. 

They had initially considered a newcomer like me for the role Trisha is playing now. However, since it's a mature role, they later felt I wouldn't be apt for it. I was amazed to see how respectful a filmmaker Gautham Menon is right at our first meeting. An incredibly soft spoken personality, I felt honoured to have met him.

It is just a week since I started working with Yennai Arindhaal team, and the friendliest person on the set is none other than Thala Ajith. He is somebody who waves you a 'hi' even before you would. I have been his fan since my childhood and was extremely happy to learn that in real life too he is a genuine and sweet personality.


About her Role in Yennai Arindhaal ?

I can't divulge much. It is a deglamourised yet bold character and gives me a good space to perform. I am cast opposite Arun Vijay in the film. Anushka and Trisha look quite pretty in the movie and initially, I was not comfortable with my getup. However, the team instilled confidence in me. Once even Ajith said that I should try out this look from now on! (laughs)

With Ilayathalapathy's Kaththi storming the box office, the buzz around his upcoming films has just elevated to all new heights. It's known that Vijay58 will be directed by Chimbudevan while Vijay 59 will be directed by Atlee. Now the big buzz is that Vijay's 60th film could be directed by Magnum opus director Shankar. 

Ilayathalapathy and Shankar have already worked together in Nanban, According to the buzz this will be straight film unlike Nanban which was a remake, Director Shankar in a recent interview did reveal that he has completed three scripts but is not sure which he'll begin next, He Said "I have almost finished three! I’m not sure which one I’ll start work on next though. Yes, I really want to make its sequel with Rajinikanth(Endhiran 2)), but I don’t know if it will be next, or even if it will happen at all." 

There is also a growing buzz that Director Gautham Menon who is currently directing Thala might re-commence Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru with Ilayathalapathy and this well could be Vijay's 60th film.

It's already known that Ilayathalapathy's Vijay59 will be directed by Atlee of Raja Rani fame. The film was buzzed to be a romantic action entertainer. Now the latest is that along with Kalaipuli S Dhanu the film will also be jointly produced by Vijay Tv Mahendran and The Next Big Film which produced Raja Rani and Cuckoo.

There is also a growing buzz that Nayanthara has already been signed up for this Ilayathalapathy starrer. G.V Prakash will score the music for Vijay 59 which is incidentally his 50th film. 

There is also an unofficial buzz that Vijay and Gautham Menon might reunite to complete the Yohan Adhyayam Ondru in the near future.

Reason behind ‬Yennai Arindhaal‬ Title !

The most expected title of the year was revealed minutes ago, The title #YennaiArindhaal is already trending on Facebook and Twitter. Now sources have now come out and explained the reason behind the title.

According to a source "Yesterday, director Gautham Menon, the film's producer Iswarya and Ajith sir held joint consultations on what the title of the film should be. After discussions, they decided to name the film Yennai Arindhaal. Ajith sir was clear about the fact that the title must be one that is apt for the story and not a fancy one. Taking into consideration this point, director Gautham Menon proposed the title which Ajith wholeheartedly approved."

GVM in all his recent interviews also clearly stated that the film was entirely about the character Sathyadev which was played by Thala and one which the fans will be guessing even after first 30 minutes into the film. With such complex and mysterious character, The title Yennai Arindhaal seems to perfectly apt.

Thala 55 is currently trending Nationwide in Twitter, The Thala starrer which is directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon was buzzed to release on 12th February but the fans have voiced their opinion trending #WeWantTHALA55ForPongal2015. Now the latest update on the film is that a Mass Kuthu Song which goes by Adharru Adharru Udharru Udharru has been just wrapped up


There is also a buzz that Thala plays a gang member along with Arun Vijay in this above intro song. Thala appears in 4 get-ups for this film out which 3 looks have been revealed. Regarding the film's title GVM earlier hinted that "If I had to title it in English, I'd probably call it Distinguished Gentleman."

It's already a known fact that Trisha and Anushka Shetty are a part of Thala 55, Gautham Menon in a recent interview revealed how he managed to pull off this stellar star cast of featuring two leading heroines in one film 

Firstly Anushka Shetty was signed up and then we felt it would be nice if Trisha played the second female lead in the film and hence i asked her, "ஏற்கெனவே அனுஷ்கா இருக்காங்களே… அவங்களைத் தாண்டி, எனக்கு எந்த அளவுக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் இருக்கும்?" Asked Trisha. It was a fair question but before i could explain the role, Trisha said yes i will do the role. I then explained Trisha's hesitance to Anushka, who said 'No problem Gautham ill do her character and she can do mine".

When i told this to Trisha she said I knew Anushka would say like this, She is such a good hearted person. I have no problem i will do my role. Gautham Menon told this dilemma of scripting equal role to Anusha and Trisha to Ajith who said "Ji this all you will do just like that".

Director Gautham Menon in a recent interview to Ananda Vikatan finally opened up and revealed some intresting snippets on Thala55. Here are some the highlights from the interview


  • Hero begins his life in a wedlock when he is 28 years old and the film narration traces the journey of his life for the next ten years till he is 38. This is how GVM summed the story of the film.
  • "ஒரு வெள்ளிக் கொலுசு போல இந்தப் பூமி சிணுங்கும் கீழ அணியாத வைரம் போல அந்த வானம் மினுங்கும் மேல - Ajith sir absolutely loved this lyrics by Thamarai and said this single song completely sums up his entire character in the film.
  • GVM revealed that the getup changes were done by Thala himself after listening to the script. 
  • Ajith sir learnt boxing and Guitar for the film out of his own interest has he felt it would help the role.
  • GVM said Ajith sir fans will love this film a lot. Here is a sample dialogue from the film "Ovvoru ammavum than pillai epdi irunthalum azhagunu thaan solvaanga. Sila samayam poinu therinjum kooda solvaanga. Aana, en amma apdi sonnathu unmai". 
  • GVM said he has still not narrated the climax to Ajith sir. He even asked me "Jii.. Innum neenga climax sollala. Avalo ragasiyama vechirukeengala ‘ஜி… இன்னும் நீங்க கிளைமாக்ஸ் சொல்லலை. அவ்வளவு ரகசியமா வெச்சிருக்கீங்களா?’னு இப்பக்கூட அஜித் சார் கேட்டார். சீக்கிரம் அவர்கிட்ட கிளைமாக்ஸ் சொல்லணும்!”".

  • I was a bit worried on giving both Trisha and Anushka equal roles and told Ajith sir about this He said "Athalam neenga just like that panniduveenga".

With every shooting spot image of Thala 55 the buzz around the film intensifies a level up. In an earlier interview Gautham Menon revealed that Ajith will sport four different look ranging from 28 to 35 years. As of now we have seen three different gets of Ajith from the film.... Thala with trimmed white hair and then the cop look with moustache, a fit physique. Recently images of Thala with rugged beard look hit the internet. Adding up all this there is still one ace up Gautham Menon's sleeve which he yet to reveal.

Gautham Menon also added previously Ajith  plays a very mysterious character in the film, which one would be unable to understand easily and the whole story revolves around the character played by Thala.

Fans if the reports in the industry are to be believed, the title of Thala55 will be announced with a first look poster on or before Diwali. The final stage of shooting is currently happening in Hyderabad where Thala was spotted wearing a rugged beard look. There is currently a buzz going around that this Thala starrer might feature voiceover from Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan. 

Thala 55 features Anushka Shetty, Trisha, Arun Vijay, Vivek and several others, Harris Jayaraj has so far completed composing three songs in the film.

Ever since Thala and Gautham Menon teamed up fans were drooling over the prospect of seeing their Thala in all new stylish avatar, With every picture and every rumor the expectation around the film escalated to greater heights. Now the latest is GVM in a recent interview has confirmed that the film will be December* release and the audio launch will take place in November. 

Gautham Menon also confirmed that the character name of Ajith is Sathyadev and initial title of the film was indeed Sathyadev but Ajith wasn't keen on his character name being highlighted in the title. Thala 55 also stars Arun Vijay, Trisha, Anushka Shetty and Vivek.

Surya and Gautham Menon were a formidable duo in Kollywood, Their combo always resulted in landmark movies in Kaakha Kaakha and Varanam Aayiram. The duo were supposed to complete a hat-trick in Dhruva Natchathiram but Surya pulled out from the movie at last second and made this statement "I feel that myself and Gautham are diametrically opposite in our ideologies. This being the case, I firmly think I won't be able to work together with Gautham."

Gautham Menon in a recent interview was quizzed if he would work with Suriya again ? He is the extract "Right now, I don't see that happening. Somewhere two people have to connect. Whenever I write a script, Trisha has been my first choice for lead because we have a good connect - like I feel with Ajith and the comfort level that I always feel with Simbu... till I feel that connect with somebody, I am not looking to work with that person."
