The much awaited music video of Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi's 'Iraiva' was released yesterday at the Russian Cultural Centre here in Chennai.The chief guests of the event were Director Vasanth,Prabu Solomon , Anirudh Ravichander,A R Reihana , Director and Producer Ramadoss and Script writer Shanmuga Sundaram.
The music video which recieved thundering claps and applause from those present at the venue was showcased at the beginning . 'Iraiva' is sure to go viral in the social media , it is easily the best music video to come out from a independent artist and also the best music video from Adhi.It is nothing like we've ever seen before and got it's well deserved appreciation from all the guests present.
Prabu Solomon advised Adhi that he shouldn't be incredibly self modest after creating something like this , he also told him that we are Tamils and we should hold our head high all the time .This received some rapturing applause from the audience.
Adhi had initially introduced the chief guests , while introducing he thanked Director Vasanth for being present even though he didn't know who he is.To this Vasanth joked with him saying that the internet isn't far away for him and he is well aware of who Hip Hop Tamizhan is.
Anirudh who received the loudest of claps among them all revealed that Adhi was initially not willing to sing for Ethirneechal since he was an independent artist and he wouldn't sing for films.But Anirudh convinced him to sing the rap portion of Ethirneechal by playing him the tune of the song.He also told about how Adhi wrote the rap portion of the song within minutes .Anirudh revealed some interesting bits on the making of the song .Adhi initially included the lyrics which goes like "First Vaathiyar , Next Superstar , Adhutathu yaaru Naan thaan paaru" to which Shiva Karthikeyan had responded that he is not willing to go back to his village after this song comes out , then immediately Adhi changed it to "First Vaathiyar , Next Superstar,Kavithai ku yaaru Bharathiyaar-u".Anirudh appreciated Adhi's brilliant mind and spontaneity for coming up with such lyrics.
A R Reihana had revealed that she was initially furious at Adhi for degrading women in the song Club le Mabbu le but then after she met him , she was impressed on how modest and respectful he is.She revealed that A R Rahman had seen Adhi's works and both him and Reihana were mightily impressed with his lyric writing capabilities.
Before the function ended Adhi had thanked PurpleNote which is his music label and Remy Martin who also have collaborations with Jay-Z,Kelly Rowland,Sean Paul and Jennifer Lopez for their support and collaboration with him
The impressive music video which is directed by college youngsters Kalai and Devesh, Editing by Fenny ,Cinematography by the Beat Boxer Triple B is out on YouTube on 13th April.All these youngsters received all round appreciation for their skills at such a young age.Adhi's music producer Jeeva Beatz was called on to the stage by the rapper and he thanked him for producing incredible music which complimented his lyrics.
We get to see more of Hip Hop Tamizha in a concert on 4th May at the Music Academy in Chennai which is organised by SS International Live and Marutham Group.
