"Ajith's Rettai Thala on Pause"

The ultimate combo project of Thala and A.R.Murugadoss which was titled as "Rettai Thala" has now come to a screeching halt. Biggies like Ayangaran and AGS were very much interested in taking this project initially  but they have decided to play to waiting game for now,The reason being the collective salary of Ajith and Muragadoss. 

Ajith currently charges 18 crore for a movie,whereas AR Muragadoss after his magnum opus "Thupakki" has hiked his salary by 50%, At this juncture the producers believe its not economically feasible to pay around 31 crores just as salary. So if the movie is to kick off one of them has to drop their wages considerably, lets all just wait and see to who blinks first.

A.R Muragadoss has blinked first by denying this as a baseless rumour as he nor Ajith have  no need to run behind money but  Murugadoss failed to mention why this movie was stopped .Here is the tweet reply when a fan asked if "Money" was the reason why the movie was stopped  ?

"Rettai Thala" A Fox Studio & AR Muragadoss Production

                                                     

AR Muragadoss was given the entry to kollywood by our thala through the movie "Dheena". From then AR Muragadoss has gone to become one of the elite directors of our country with record breaking collections both in Kollywood and Bollywood. Muruagadoss second attempt with thala for "Mirattal" did not materialize. 

After Thupakki, Muragadoss revealed that he had a script exclusively for Ajith and that he was waiting for thala's approval to start the movie with the title being rumored to be "Rettai Thala". 

This Project has now passed the stage of just being a rumor , Fox Studio along with AR Murugadoss Production company are set to produce the movie with Harris Jeyaraj scoring the music.
