Expectations have been high ever since Director Saravanan and Jai announced their re-union with Valiyavan. The expectation soared after the first look poster where Jai was seen sporting a six pack, However at the recent press meet the lead actor failed to turn up whereas the entire team was present. This immediately sparked a buzz that things might not be well with Director and the actor.

When the director was asked to comment on Jai, He stated that the media should talk about the people who are present for the meet. Jai and Saravanan's earlier Engeyum Eppodhum was one of the best film of year 2011.

STR's Vettaimannan has been one the movies which has been in making for quite a long time, There were even doubts if the movie would ever see the daylight. The film starred STR, Jai, Hansika and Deeksha Seth while the successful combo of Yuvan - STR was a huge highlight for the film.

Now the latest info on the movie is that, Nic Arts Chakravarthy - The Producer of the film has clarified that the film is definitely alive and explained that 70 percent of the film has been completed and needs just 30 more days to completely wrap up the shooting.

Actor Jai is fast rising up the ranks in Kollywood, With back to back hits in Raja Rani and Vadacurry, His long awaited Thirumana Num Enum Nikkah released to a fairly decent opening. The star actor who is into Racing these days is planning to compose Music for films, “I have plans to compose for films,but not any time soon as I am still working on it. Few years ago, I planned to release an album of mine, but my brothers, Dhanush and Simbu, released the Kolaveri song, and Love Anthem respectively, which made me stay away from releasing my album as fans could have thought that I was releasing it just because others did,I don’t want that to happen. So I will take some more time to release it.”

In an interview to Deccan Chronicle, The actor was quizzed on his marriage plans, he said, “I am not ready for it now at all. I want my dearest brothers, Arya, Simbu, and Vishal to get hitched first. Only then will I give it a thought.”

Raja Rani was one of the biggest hit of yesteryear, The film was widely appreciated for its stellar cast which featured Arya, Jai, Nayanthara and Nazriya. Atlee the debutante director recently revealed that actor Siva Karthikeyan was actually the first choice for the role of John which was played by Arya.

Atlee went on add that Actor Arya who happened to hear the film's story by chance wanted to be part of the film and made a special request to Atlee and hence Atlee had to replace Siva Karthikeyan with Arya. The director went on add that he and Siva Karthikeyan are still best of friends and will do a movie together soon.

Actor Jai to Break M.G.R's Kollywood record !

If reports to are to believed Actor Jai is on his way to break M.G.R's Record of having acted with Nine heroines in one film in Navarathinam. There is a buzz that Jai will romance nine heroines in his next film including Trisha, Nayanthara, Andrea, Lakshmi Rai, Hansika, Sri Divya and few others. The film's title is reportedly Kanni Rasi and will be directed by Vijay Chander who is currently directing STR's Vaalu.

There is also an added buzz that STR will himself make a cameo in this Jai's starrer.

Jai-Nazriya's Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah was slated for release yesterday (May 30th) But the release was postponed at the last moment after a case was filed against the film for allegedly showing Muslims in bad light.

An outfit named Tamil Nadu Shia Muslim Jamath filed the case against the film and its producer Aascar Ravichandran. They went on claim that Aascar Ravichandran had already showed Muslims in a bad manner in his earlier film Velayudham.

Honorable Judge has ordered Aascar Ravichandran and Censor board officers to submit their reply to the court within two weeks.

The fact that Sunny Leone is making her Kollywood debut in Vadacurry has pushed this movie to one the most expected film of the year list. The sexy seductress also has a special signature song in the film which goes like "Sunny in the day and sunny in the night, sunny all the way".

Actor Jai who called up Sunny Leone on her birthday recently was pleasantly surprised when the actress admitted that she just can't stop singing the song from the film and can't wait to see how the video has come out.

Vadacurry directed by Saravanan Rajan also stars the re-union of Subramaniyapuram pair Jai and Swathi. The film has acquired an clean U Certificate and is expected to release by June end.

Bollywood sensation Sunny Leone made her Kollywood entry in Jai's Vadacurry in a cameo dance performance. Now the latest buzz is that the actress will feature in her second tamil film Oru Oorla Rendu Raja featuring Vemal, Soori, Priya Anand and Vishakha Singh.

Sources say the song will be choreographed by dance master Brinda. Oru Oorla Rendu Raja is directed by Kannan. The song is expected to be a road song and shot next month.

The reason why Yuvan Shankar Raja was Replaced in Vadacurry ?

Vadacurry is an upcoming film which stars the Subramaniapuram pair Jai & Swathi, The movie is produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri who sent a official press release on why Yuvan Shankar Raja was replaced by newcomers Vivek and Mervin.

"I would like to inform you that due to Yuvan Shankar Raja's hectic schedule towards the end of last year, we were unable to work along with him for Vadacurry, although he has delivered us an absolute mesmerising melody for the same. We are using that track for the said film. Both of us agreed mutually and felt it was best if we work with another music director for the quick completion of the movie ".

When the Vadacurry unit was trying to rope in Anirudh, he suggested musical duo Vivek and Mervin to Dhayanidhi. The duo have scored 4 (four) tracks for Vadacurry and will be scoring the BGM too.

Here is a small intro about Vivek and Mervin

Vivek Shiva, 22, trained in classical music. Learnt the carnatic mandolin and performed with numerous bands in school(PSBB KK Nagar) and college. Also is a music programmer & sound engineer for Anirudh Ravichander on all his projects till date such as 3, Ethir neechal, Vanakkam chennai, Irandam Ulagam & Velai Illa Pattadhari.

Mervin Solomon, 23, is a distinguished pianist certified by the London Trinity School. Also a music producer from Chennai, has scored music for albums in gospel and classical genres. He also freelanced as a programmer in various tamil movie projects.Has toured extensively with numerous singers across the country.

Both of them were part of the band Zinx which was chosen by the Oscar winner Mr.A.R.Rahman.
