Actor, Choreographer and now one of the most director in Bollywood Prabhu Deva was back in Chennai for a press meet after a period of 4 years. The star director was out promoting his upcoming film Action Jackson. The press meet concluded just minutes ago and the highlight of the event was Prabhu Deva naming his Favourite dancer and talking about his return to K'wood.

Prabhu Deva one of the leading directors in Bollywood has recently expressed to desire to comeback to Kollywood and Sources reveal that he wants to reunite with Ilayathalapathy with whom he has already worked in Pokiri and Villu.

Prabhu Deva in a legal fight with Warner Bros

Actor, Choreographer and now Director Prabhu Deva was in trouble lately over the title of his latest film Action Jackson. Hollywood studio Warner Bros claimed copyright infringement has an 1988 Hollywood film released with the same name and hence the asked Prabhu Deva and his team to change the title as Action Jackson is registered by them for the sub-continent as well. 

Prabhu Deva is however in no mood to change the title and said there was reason why his film is called Action Jackson.

"We named the film Action Jackson because our hero Ajay Devgan is known as 'AJ' and we thought it would be a good idea to use the initials and extend it into the title Action Jackson as Ajay is doing both action and dancing in the film." 

"It isn't like Rambo Rajkumar where 'Rambo' was a patented name by the Hollywood studio. How can anyone claim copyright over the words 'action' and 'Jackson'? And since the word 'Jackson' is in my title for the dancing, we might have (late pop legend) Michael Jackson's family claiming copyright violation. We can't just keep giving in like this for every title."

"I had never heard of a Hollywood film titled Action Jackson. Didn't it come 25 years ago? So many films are titled Romeo & Juliet. Should Shakespeare's family sue?"

Why is Prabhu Deva Homeless ?

It's known that actress Sri Devi's Apartment had recently caught fire on December 21st. Though her entire family was safely escorted from the house the fire burnt the entire house living them homeless. Actor Prabhu Deva who was  renting in Green Acres Building in Andheri to Sridevi, who is the owner of the flat has returned his apartment to Sridevi.

Sources add that  "When Prabhu heard Sri Devi and her family were staying in different places because their bungalow caught fire, he immediately offered the actress her apartment. He had been staying on rent at Sri's flat for a couple of years. And he just felt it was right for him to give her the flat back so that she and her family are not inconvenienced.'' 

Director and Actor Prabhu Deva however did not account for his own housing ways as this has left him currently homeless. The actor who has his permanent home in Chennai and all these years has only been living on rent in Mumbai. To avoid being roofless the actor over the few days was  was travelling to Chennai and Mysore. And he is expected back in Mumbai tomorrow. Sources add his friends are very desperately looking out for the actor to shift to when he returns to Mumbai on Jan 4. Actress Sridevi and her family who travelled to Maldives for their new year break are slowly getting their furniture and other belongings back into the Green Acres apartment and have started living there.

Prabhu Deva's R..Rajkumar starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha was released last friday. I can understand some people like a film, some don't and I respect everyone's views. But there was a lot of criticism when the film had just released. Then Friday, Saturday, Sunday saw a good response at the box office and then when the film was holding well even on Monday, Tuesday and thereafter, we felt why was there so much criticism, especially in Mumbai. If a film is really bad, even we can make out with our years of experience. But here, the audiences are clapping, whistling, laughing... I was so thrilled when I quietly went to theatres and saw it myself.For us, audience is God.

We make films for them and they have proved once again that they love entertainment. I just feel that if people write about a film then they should also write about audience's response.The claps Shahid Kapoor gets during his entry and then throughout the film is amazing and for me, it's important that my hero is accepted because the rest will follow.

Prabhu Deva's Film rated Zero Marks and branded Worst Film of 2013

Prabhu Deva's R..Rajkumar starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha which released last week has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons. B'Town has absolutely thrashed this flick branding it as the worst film of 2013. Indian Express reviewed the movie with zero marks and said it was easily the worst film of the year. Zee News made the most severe comment by asking the audiences to watch the film only if they really hated themselves. NDTV rated the movie with one star.

From the mounting criticism that seem to arise for the movie, it's clear that the fans have certainly had enough of 90's Telugu style movie that Prabhu Deva so dearly creates in Bollywood  !!

A reliable source from that film crew revealed, "Prabhu Deva is a perfectionist. He knew that Sonakshi needed to go completely crazy while shooting the dance number since it's a Gokul Ashtami song. The song has such a mad vibe and Sonakshi was required to completely unleash herself. Since Prabhu has worked with Sona in Rowdy Rathore, he very well knew that she doesn't drink. But their rapport is such that he made her drink bhang without her knowledge to get into the right mood. The entire crew drank bhang and told Sonakshi that it is thandai. It was only later when she got a bit tipsy that Sona found out that she had little bhang." 

Did Sonakshi object when she found out? "Not at all. She shares a very good rapport with Parbhu Deva. She took it in a very sporting way. In fact she was glad that she had it because it helped her to dance freely."

The comeback queen Nayanthara has conquered the hearts of millions with her immaculate performances in Raja Rani. In a recent interview to The Times of India. Nayanthara finally opened up on her relationship with Prabhu Deva and why it ended. 

Here are the excerpts from the interview here 

Prabhu Deva and you were heading towards marriage and suddenly everything changed. What happened?

It happens. It's not just my relationship - you take any relationship or marriage, break-ups happen. There might be misunderstandings and problems on a day-to-day basis but when it gets to a level where you cannot handle it and it goes beyond saturation point, it becomes very difficult to handle. People change, things change, situations change - so it could be probably because of that - I really don't want to get into details because it's quite personal and I don't want to talk about it to the whole world. I have always kept a dignified silence on whatever was being said and written about me. Now things have changed - when a relationship doesn't work, it doesn't work. There might be a hundred reasons for it or there might be no reason for it. When I am in a relationship, I give it my 100 per cent. But then if it doesn't work, you cannot help it. You cannot move ahead with something which isn't working.

When you got into this relationship, did you think this would happen?

Definitely not! Anything that you do in life, whether it's work or a relationship or marriage, you get into it with a lot of positivity. But I don't know whether it's destiny or whatever it just didn't work. We were probably not meant to be together...

During the time you were with Prabhu, there were a lot of stories written about how there were problems because of his ex-wife and that you didn't agree with him on certain things. Did that bother you at all?

Yes. Like I said, it's your personal space. Just because you are actors or in the show business doesn't mean that your private life is on show for everyone else. Whatever we share with each other is private and when any news leaks out, it's blown out of proportion and made out to be something else. Bad things written about me do bother me and affect me but then I have learnt to take it in my stride. I have also learnt to keep quiet about certain things. Once I start saying something, it'll turn into a never-ending story of he said, she said, they said...

Did these rumours affect your relationship with Prabhu?

No, it did not. As long as I with him, my relationship was very strong. Media reports definitely bothered us sometimes.

Then came the heartbreak, how did you deal with it?

That's too personal to get into...a break-up for anyone is the most difficult phase in their life. When you have to go away from someone you love or vice-versa, whatever the reason, it really shatters your life. But how you deal with it is important. I can't get into how I dealt with it but I have to if I want to move on and live my life.

Three and a half years invested in this relationship, have you changed as a person?

Yes, I have changed a lot as a person. I don't know whether it's for the good or the bad but I have definitely changed. (Laughs) It usually happens as when you are in a relationship you change for the other person. I think everyone does and I'm no different.

How does it feel to be single again now?

I think it's too early for me to say anything about the single space I am in right now. I was in a relationship for three and a half years so I still need to get over it completely. It'll take a lot of time.

Did you learn anything about yourself in this whole process?

I did but don't ask me what. (Laughs)

Has this failed relationship changed your perception of love?

I don't want to comment on love at all right now. That's my mental status today.

When you decided to move away from films, you were in the numero uno position in the south. Did you feel you it was a very big step to take?

It was a crucial step in life but as far as I am concerned, I am game for doing anything for love. I will do anything for love.

Any regrets all today?

No, none at all.

Have you removed the Prabhu tattoo on your hand?

I haven't - it's still there in the same place. As of now, I am planning to keep it.
