Jiiva's next after Yaan is ?

Actor Jiiva has had just one release this year in Yaan, a film which completely bombed at the box office. The Endrendrum Punnagai actor seems to have finally signed up for his next film which is to be directed by Ramnath. Sources say the film will have the E duo of Jiiva and Nayanthara.

A source reported this to Times of India, "When the director narrated the script to Jiiva, he liked it a lot. The film will be on the lines of his earlier films like Siva Manasula Sakthi. He will be playing an out-and-out 'local', which has so far worked out well for him. The team has been checking out locations in Kumbakonam and Thanjavur for the shoot. Jiiva will start shooting the film in December. While Nayanthara has agreed to work on this film, she is yet to officially sign on the dotted line."

Santhanam talks about Superstar, Thala56, Anushka nickname !

Santhanam's career is at an all time and his currently juggling between his hero status and playing the comedic roles in other star's films. Yesterday a snap from Lingaa featuring Santhanam and Superstar went viral across all social platforms. In a recent interview to leading daily Santhanam said Superstar had a good sense of humor and both shared a good vibe and he felt as though he was working with regular younger heroes – Arya, Jiiva and others.

Santhanam went on add that before working with Director K.S Ravikumar he heard that he was tough task master but once he started shooting he really enjoyed working with him. Santhanam revealed he calls Anushka as Guruji since she was an ex--Yoga teacher.

Santhanam also confirmed his presence in Thala 56 which will be directed by Siruthai Siva and concluded saying he is planning to direct a film and wants a narrate this script to Udhayanidhi Stalin and Arya.

Actor Vishal in an earlier general body meeting stated that his friends and co-actors Arya, Jiiva, Jayam Ravi and Karthi are ready to act in a multi starrer movie and give all the proceeds of the film to facilitate the construction of a new building complex for Nadigar Sangam.

Vishal in a recent media interaction for his upcoming Diwali release Poojai once again restated the plan on this multi-starrer stating the film will go on floors in 2015. Vishal added that the Director and other star cast are yet to be finalised but He along with Arya, Jiiva, Jayam Ravi and Karthi will act for free in this film.

Who was the first choice Hero for Madras ?

Karthi has made a stupendous comeback with Madras, Fans and critics alike have been absolutely raving about the film and its realistic portal of North Madras. Now there is a buzz going around that Director Pa.Ranjith initially narrated the script to actor Jiiva but due to certain unknown reasons he opted out of the film. 

Sources also add that the film's script was initially sent to Karthi only to get an opinion on the script, but once he read the script Karthi immediately approached Ranjith and expressed his desire to play the lead role. The film was interestingly first titled as Kaali but later changed to Madras.

Actor Jiiva who delivered a huge hit in Endrendrum Punnagai will finally have a release in 2014 with Yaan. The stylish actor has apparently impressed the Bollywood sensation Ranbir Kapoor, Ravi K Chandran revealed this intresting info "I screened Aathangarai song to Ranbir Kapoor. He liked Jiiva's dance moves in that song and he was very impressed with the south star."

Ravi K Chandran was all praise for Jiiva and Thulasi stating "Jiiva is a natural actor and he is very casual and cool on the set. Thulasi is a terrific actress and she has improved a lot in this film - that is if you compare her acting in this one, to what she did in her debut film. As it is a love story, I wanted both the lead actors to look beautiful on screen and we have taken special care with the costume and the lighting to make them look their best. Though I am a cinematographer, I took the backseat in that department in this film. I have focused only on the direction part and the story."

STR and Jiiva have provided the media with numerous headlines in the past, There was also huge controversy when Jiiva starred in Ko which was initially signed by STR. The controversy reached new heights when Jiiva openly stated in a press meet that "Simbu and I have never been good friends. Healthy competition between film stars is always welcome; however, Simbu indulges in back stabbing which is no way healthy".

The duo however buried the hatchet recently in grand dance show which was recently held in Wembley London, Jiiva said STR's success was his success and spoke of his friendship with STR. Now STR in his twitter account posted this and here is what jiiva had to say

Ilayathalapathy Vijay declared the Next Superstar !

The popular Tamil Weekly Kumudam recently conducted a poll to decide the Next Superstar of Kollywood, There were 8 contenders Vijay, Ajith, Surya, Vikram, STR, Dhanush, Arya and Jiiva. After a mammoth 35 Lakh Votes were registered through website, Postal and through their magazines Ilayathalapathy Vijay was declared the Next Superstar.

Vijay captured the first place bagging 12,80,300 votes, While Thala Ajith came in second with 12,17,650. Surya was a distant third with 5,47,050 votes. Dhanush secured Fourth while Vikram came 5th and STR, Arya and Jiiva secured 6th,7th and 8th position respectively.

When Jiiva was arrested by Moroccan Police

Ravi K Chandran's directorial debut Yaan has huge expectations, The makers of the film recently revealed that Jiiva and Director were actually arrested by Moroccan Police while shooting there.  They were reportedly shooting a scene where Jiiva was to be kidnapped by some terrorists on the streets. The Moroccan Police however immediately arrived on the spot and warned the crew of filming such scenes as it would portray their country in bad light.

The Police confiscated the gadgets used for shooting and also arrested Jiiva and Director Ravi K Chandran. The problem was later sorted out by the intervention of some local people known to the crew in Morocco. The scene was finally shot in ECR after erecting a set resembling the streets of Morocco.

Jiiva is one actor who is creating a sort of amazing filmography with his versatile roles in movies like Kattradhu Tamil, Siva Manasula Sakthi, Raam, Mugamoodi and several others. Jiiva is widely appreciated for this ability to pull any role given to him, the stylish actor who was last seen in Ilayathalapathy's Jilla was quizzed if he would pair up with Ajith on screen ? Jiiva said that all it takes was a proper script for that to happen.

Regarding who was his favourite heroine on screen Jiiva said he had amazing chemistry with every heroine he paired up with and said it was difficult to name just one in particular “Everyone was professional and fun loving. Thulasi always looked to me for advice and I think she has evolved as a matured performer. Trisha was a wonderful co-star and thorough professional”.

Jiiva to Romance Vijay's Heroine !

Actor Jiiva who was last seen onscreen in a cameo for Ilayathalapathy's Jilla is all set to commence his next. The actor has reportedly wrapped up the shoot for Ravi K Chandran's Yaan and will begin Chandramohan's film Nee Nalla Varuvada (Tentative title) from the first week of May. Though intial reports suggested Nazriya would pair up with Jiiva, Sources now reveal that Jilla Heroine Kajal Aggarwal will play the female lead. 

A Source reported "Jiiva, who has completed work on Ravi K Chandran's Yaan, is likely to begin work on this project from the first week of May. The film, which will be produced by Jiiva's dad, will be shot mostly in Chennai. Kajal, who has already signed up for a Tamil film with Dhanush that is to be directed by Balaji Mohan and a Telugu film with Ramcharan, is likely to join the unit then. Sathyaraj, Suhasini and Soori are also likely to be a part of the film's star cast."
