Actress Ranjitha who courted controversy a few years ago after a intimate video purporting to be her and Nithyananda in a compromising position, was released on television and became viral. However forensic tests later found the video to be morphed. The actress who was introduced by legendary director Bharathiraja has shared screen space with the leading actors including Karthik and Arjun.
The latest news on the actress is that she has decided to opt for Sanyasa and was formally inducted into the Nithyananda Ashram on the Godman’s 37th birthday. The actress said that she will adopt to the lifestyle of a Sanyasi and will live in the Ashram for the rest of her life. Ranjitha was among 40 others who were given the deeksha (oath) by Nithyananda to coincide with his birthday celebrations. The actor has been re-christened as Ma Anandamayi.
Sources close to the actor said she has decided to spend the rest of her life at the ashram wearing saffron robes. She has been assigned the responsibility of taking care of the foreign operations of the ashram.
