As SS Music reported earlier Gautham Vasudev Menon and Thala Ajith's flick was officially confirmed yesterday, Thala 55 will be produced by A.M.Rathnam under his Sri Satya Sai Movie. The project will however be commenced only by the mid of next year as Ajith will undergo a long pending surgery after the completion of his Veeram movie.
Now the latest buzz is that Director Gautham Menon will do a quickie with STR from November first week, Reports have it that Gautham had narrated a script to STR who is currently working round the clock to finish the major portions of Director Pandiraj film by November 1st so that he can move on to GVM's project.
STR also hinted on this Vinnaithandi Varuvaya reunion by tweeting this

As SS Music earlier reported STR-Gautham Menon project is officially underway. The movie shoot is currently happening around the locales of Adyar. Is it the Much anticipated Vinnaithandi Varuvaya 2 ? Well we just have to wait on that one..

Gautham Menon's Production venture Photon Kathaas have released a press release that the film shooting has indeed began but it's not the sequel to the much expected Vinnaithandi Varuvaya.

Here is the Official Tweet from STR where he restates that the movie is not a sequel to Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya but a fresh script.
