Surya's Dhruva Natchathiram Dropped ?

The third edition of Surya and Gautham Vasudev Menon pairing for Dhuruva Natchathiram is one of the most highly expected and anticipated movie of recent times for several reasons

• Gautham Menon needs to revive his career and prove he is still one the elite directors of Kollywood and also recover the loses suffered after the debacle of Neethane En Ponvasantham.
• The Duo of Surya- Gautham Menon previous movies Kakkha Kakkha and Varanaam Ayiraam have been massive success.
• After the musical hit of Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya , A.R.Rahman scores for another GVM Movie.

However there is a buzz going around Kollywood that Dhruva Natchathiram might be actually dropped. Though there is no official confirmation regarding the buzz , the reasons for rumor are quite strong enough

• Though the Film Pooja was done a while back, the director is yet to finalize the heroine.
• Initial reports suggested Trisha was signed up by GVM but Surya had turned down Trisha citing she was too old to play the role of school girl and he wanted Amala Paul instead. Further reports had Samantha being signed up for the project instead but till date there has been no official confirmation on the heroine.
• With Surya having signed up for Linguswamy project, the delay in Dhruva Natchathiram would mean Surya would go ahead with Linguswamy project which would delay GVM project furthermore.
• GVM's earlier movies like Yohan Adhyayam Ondru with Vijay and Another Project with Ajith were also dropped after pre-production.

The latest buzz on Dhruva Natchathiram is that Surya has revealed that the script of Dhruva Natchathiram needs rework and hence the reason for delay. Another interesting buzz coming in is Gautham is trying to rope in either Sonam Kapoor or Asin to pair up with Surya.
It very much looks like Surya will begin Linguswamy's project first then move on GVM's Dhurva Natchathiram
