Following in the footstep of our Legendary AR Rahman next in line to being nominated for the Academy Awards is none other than our chennai based classical singer Bombay Jayashri.
She has been nominated for 2013 Academy Awards in the lyrics category of the song "Pi's Lullaby" in the film "Life of Pi" an interesting fact abt this song is that it's actually a tamil song.
The Director of the Ang Lee wanted a lullaby for the situation and Mycheal Danna the composer of film picked Bombay Jayashri after hearing her voice.
Upon Hearing the Oscar Nomination this is what a very happy Bombay Jayashree had to say "Music Transcends cultural barries. This Oscar nomination comes as a pleasant Surprise."
