Suriya's much expected Anjaan movie received an absolute humungous opening on Independence Day, The film is estimated to have grossed 18 crores on its opening day making it the highest opening for a Non-Rajinikanth film.
The film has grossed 14.5 crores in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and adding overseas collection the film has totally racked up 18 crores and considering the holiday weekend the film is sure to have a record breaking opening collection.
The film has however been received with huge flak, The makers have stepped in and trimmed 20 minutes of footage from the film and have completely deleted the Brahmanandam portion.
