Thalaivaa Could be Independence Day Special Release

After series of struggles, Thalaivaa will finally release in Tamil Nadu on 20th of August, the coming Tuesday. The Police force have given their approval for the movie to release anytime after 17th August and the makers have chosen Tuesday as their special day for release. The movie posters with the confirmed theatre listings and date of release will release today. 

The advance booking are expected to commence from today. Its worth mentioning that the movie has finally been given the green light after the makers had agreed to remove the tagline "Time to Lead" from the various movie posters and teasers. 

Though the movie might not get as big a release it originally would have got on August 9th we are sure that Ilayathalapathy Vijay fans would make the movie a huge blockbuster !!

The "Time to lead" tagline from Thalaivaa movie has been removed. The banners and poster will now be re-edited and will come out without the tagline.

Distributors Vendhar Movies have approached the Producer Chandra Prakash Jain to compensate for the loss they have suffered due to delay in the Thalaivaa release.

Sources say a meeting between the Theatre Owners and Thalaivaa team happened today.
The theatre owner who earlier had offered Minimum Guarantee for Thalaivaa film have now decided to release the movie on a profit sharing basis due to various pirated DVD's and the movie being available all over the internet.

Sources also add Vijay has been trying to meet the CM Jayalalitha in Poes Garden for the past 2 days and the release date of the movie would be announced very soon.

Fans as per the latest report coming in, its very unlikely the movie would be an Independence Day Release, Reports points out the movie would be released only the 23rd of August.

Thalaivaa which was expected to the hit the screens today failed to do as the movie was refused the tax exemption certificate. In disappointment there was a news that one of Vijay's fan Vishnu had committed suicide, However certain reports point out that the news was fake. Things are still very unclear regarding the happenings of Thalaiva.

The latest update on the movie release date is either 15th of August or 23th of August

The screening of the movie which was done in 2 theatres have been stopped suddenly.
Sources cite this being just a momentary hurdle and the movie would release full fledge from tomorrow.

Thalaivaa has been officially confirmed for release tomorrow.  Certain theatres in Tamil Nadu have already commenced screening the movie minutes back. The online bookings of the movie have already begun in some theatres.

However Multiplexes in Chennai are expected to begin screening the movie from Sunday.

The latest update from Vendhar movies the Production company of Thalaivaa is that the movie has been confirmed for release tomorrow but the movie might even be released by tonight.

Earlier 

• The latest incoming report on Thalaivaa is that the movie which was supposed to release today could be pushed to an Independence Day release. 
• Meanwhile the theatres in Tamil Nadu have been busy refunding the tickets which were booked through advance booking. The hugely disappointed fans have been heading out to Andhra pradesh and Bangalore to watch their Star's Thalaivaa.
• In regard to the meeting which was held among TNTOA (Tamil Nadu Theatres Owners Association) it has been decided that only if all the theatres are given proper protection, they will screen Thalaivaa.
• The Tax Exemption certificate is yet to awarded by the Government for the movie.  
• Unless the Chief Minister who is away till 12th of August returns, The movie being released is still a big question mark.
• Distributors and Trade insiders believe once the Thalaivaa Team meets the Chief Minister, the movie will witness a smooth release on August 15th However the possiblity of the movie being released before August 15th also exists.
• One saving grace during the troubled times of Vishwaroopam was the fact that Kamal Haasan organised a press meet and explained what the real problem was. But in case of Thalaivaa no one really knows the concrete reason for the delay in release and neither the crew of the movie are making it a point to notify the fans .
