Inspired by Siva Karthikeyan's recent blockbuster Varutha Padatha Vaalibar Sangam, a minor girl in Tirupur has stopped her own wedding in a similar fashion to the one shown in the movie. It's believed that the girl got courage after seeing the film.
The lead actor Siva Karthikeyan in a recent interview to leading daily said He was happy that his his film has influenced people's life in such a great way."Marrying a minor girl is against the law and my film has helped her stop it from happening. Even comedy films can be purposeful in some way".
Siva Karthikeyan also accredited the director of the movie Ponram for his efforts and added his next flick Maan Karate would also have underlying message in it.
