The latest buzz in K'town is that Bollywood beauty Sonakshi Sinha will be doing an item dance in Surya-Lingusamy project. The buzz was Lingusamy recently met Sonakshi in Mumbai and got her on-board for the project.
A Source close to the unit also revealed that "The item number with Sonakshi will be shot next month in Mumbai. When Lingusamy approached her and discussed the song sequence, she accepted the offer and allotted dates for the song. As of now, Sonakshi will dancing solo in this item number. Suriya might or might not feature in the song."
The Times of India have also quoted Lingusamy "Yes, we have approached Sonakshi Sinha. She is almost confirmed for the song, but is yet to sign on the dotted line."
It's worth mentioning that Sonakshi Sinha was the first choice for Vishwaroopam but was later replaced by Pooja Kumar due to dates issue.
