Mani Ratnam's Next "Lajjo"

Just as we broke the news that Mani Ratnam is reviving his long lost project with Aamir Khan , news has just come out that Mani Ratnam is heading back to Bollywood for 'Lajjo' after his recent disaster which is 'Kadal'.Mr.Bobby Bedi who has produced some classics like 'Bandit Queen' , the Hindi remake of 'Alaipayuthey' and also 'Mangal Pandey' with Aamir Khan is supposedly producing 'Lajjo' as well.

Mani Ratnam as we all know is a director who does not let anyone interfere with his art and Aamir is an extremely creative person and a perfectionist who indulges in each and every department of the movie. Back in 2007 when the project was about to materialise Mr.Bedi was well aware of the combination he had chosen and had requested both of them to be independent and be mutually respectful of their responsiblities.That obviously failed to happen.

All creative differences apart now 'Lajjo' is back in 2013 and Mani Ratnam is heading back to Mumbai to start the initial works of this movie.Female lead has been finalised as Kareena Kapoor ,this will be the third consecutive time Kareena would be working with Aamir after '3 Idiots' and 'Talaash'.

'Lajjo' is about a man who frequently visits brothels,there he falls in love with a prostitute and marries her.What follows is the complications which arise in this couple's life.Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor play the lead with Cinematography by P.C Sreeram and Music by A.R Rahman.
