Trouble for Siddarth and Samantha

The Recently released telugu movie 'Jabardasth' which starred Siddarth and Samantha in the leading roles is   unofficial remake of 'Band Baaja Baaraat' claims Adithya Chopra. 'Nandini Reddy' the director of movie denied it saying the movie was inspired by 'Wedding Planner', However Adithya Chopra the head of the production house 'Yash Raj Films' remarked that we had shared our concern with the Jabardasth team early last year even before the movie went on floor, but unfortunately the movie producers did not acknowledge the same. We are also hopeful that Jabardasth would not have any similarity with Band Baaja Baaraat. But, now with the release of Jabardasth, its pretty obvious that the plot of the movie has been totally based on our Band Baaja Baaraat. Our legal team is currently evaluating the film based on its content and we are in the process of taking necessary action.

Linguswamy was in next line to release this movie into Kollywood as 'Dum Dum Pee Pee', having bought the remake rights from 'Jabardasth', He said he would release the movie only if 'Yash Raj Films' grant 'No objection Certificate' for this movie. 

There are also official reports that 'Yash Raj Films' orginally wanted to remake  'Band Baaja Baaraat' in tamil and telugu with 'Nani' playing the lead.

Yash Raj films have won the case against the makers of Jabardasth.  Jabardasth which starred Samantha & Siddarth was declared as an unofficial remake of 'Band Baaja Baaraat' thereby a ban was imposed on the DVD, CD & Blu Ray release of the movie. This also means that tamil version of the movie 'Dum Dum Pee Pee' which was to be produced by Linguswamy as also been halted.
